^^^ Just because they are within their rights to do something, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Considering they want to be a "for everyone" brand, their youtube policies probably drastically effect their ability to reach a wider market.

Say a new IP comes out that is niche and has little to no marketing or hype, large YouTube channels like say Angry Joe or Markiplier can give said IP exposure to a large pool of people potentially generating more sales which in turn is good for the developers and publisher of that game. Nintendo does not allow things like that while Sony, Microsoft, EA, Activision, etc. do.

I've heard it's mainly Nintendo Japan that doesn't get with the times while Nintendo America seems more lenient with the YouTube stuff. Either way, it's simply how the gaming space is now and if you can't get with the times then get left behind.

What I don't get is while Nintendo are releasing masses of products all different shapes and sizes Mario on iPhone new consoles handhelds whatever you wanna call it games rated 10/10 buy majority of reliable critics, genuine fans seem impressed no not Fanboys who are unbelievably biased can't see any other sides to any story. Amiibos they actually have a very successful handheld still going strong latest Pokemons sold Millions. Yet Xbox are fine and dandy they not losing market share they don't have anything going on except Xbox live 💰💰💰 mugs happy to pay just to play online, I grew up on dreamcast, ps2, PS3, Wii, DS, Wii U 3ds... all free to play online. Sure I had consoles before but online was pipe dreams. Xbox literally have nothing going on they have no exclusives oh they have a new console and are reusing all their 360 games as they just can't get any decent games on the shelves it's an utter shambles but yeah Nintendo are doomed!!

Is that supposed to be in support of the youtubers? Nintendo has the right to do this dumb shit, just because the internet doesn't like it doesn't really mean shit. They cannot validate that their video will increase sales, Nintendo has an official process for becoming an authorized youtuber of their content. Play by their rules or risk strikes against your account. Either way Nintendo doesn't care and shouldn't.

Releasing two of your product and then celebrating that its sold-out doesn't mean something was successful it simply means You released a very limited number of your product.

This company is likely projecting to sell even less this time around the fact that they're even only working on one piece of Hardware is going to show that they can't even afford to produce 2.

I'm not sure what type of delusion you're on or what you're bragging about because as I see it in regards to marketshare Nintendo was actually more likely out of the three companies to become a software company and exit the hardware business.

They sold the lowest out of all three companies with the Wii U Sony nor Microsoft have never produced a Home console that is produced those type of numbers...

Nintendo also began investing deeply and IOS and Android, platforms they do not own

suggesting they needed to make money off of an install base because they could not build one on their own IE the Wii U.

They also have decided to make a hybrid system as opposed to releasing two platforms likely because they cannot afford to keep spending money on Hardware people are not buying.

If this fails it is very very very very likely this company goes software only so I agree with you there probably not going anywhere but I don't see them producing Hardware any longer.

I predicted before any of the leaks before even the official reveal that Nintendo was going to release a handheld back it out to the television simply because I predicted that this company's financial situation would force them to create a handheld but also appease its console Gamers by having a feature to play off of the television.

The switch is actually more so a financial decision as opposed to Simply a design one I believe they cannot produce both because it's costing them too much money when they eventually fail.

My original prediction simply had to do with where I believe the company was financially I did not have some sort of Insider information and I do not work for Nintendo my prediction again was solely based on where they were financially and what I would do if I was a company in their situation.

Release games on iOS and Android double down on portable but appease the console fans by outing to the television.

If neither of these work my next decision would simply be become a software publisher and spend $0 on a hardware while also releasing games on the largest installed bases.

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
