Gaming is no longer the domain of the few - it has become a global industry making billions. Indeed, video games as an industry sometimes overtakes Hollywood, both in spending and in profits. Like all forms of technology, advances made in the industry sometimes have had side effects in other areas. Progress is progress, regardless of where it is specifically located. One fascinating area of advancing tech in gaming is artificial intelligence (AI). Few areas are better suited to show off the capabilities of AI, at least from an initial perspective, than video games. Let’s see what AI has done for video games and where this can lead to in future.

There will be no new content in Forza Motorsport, just recycled tours and some new challenges, until at least December 2025, if ever again.
I should probably hurry up and buy this game, before they delist it. It seems to be going the way of Forza 7.
It’s no longer Forza Motor Sport. It’s no longer Forza anything. It’s the rebirth of PROJECT GOTHAM RACING! Seriously though, at least Horizon isn’t going anywhere. That’s my favorite arcade racer.

Windows Central writes: "Forza Motorsport is one of the franchises that helped build Xbox into what it is today. It's frankly disgusting that over a month after media reports of its demise, nobody at Microsoft has even acknowledged the situation.
Is it alive? Is it dead? Is it purely in maintenance mode? We're not expecting much, but we're right to expect something."
I assume they'll quietly announce it's demise a day or two after showcasing Forza Horizon 6.
Crazy. All that time, the photogrammetry, the cars, the drivatars, the air in the tires, the turn 10 trolling in comment threads over the years, the rush to get to the same number of releases as their competitor, the me too_ness , the fanboys saying it was the better game, the loud engine noise, the power of the cloud...
to only crash and burn against an opponent that still leads with more detail, online, VR, real cars created by manufacturers making the virtual cars a reality and the sales and recognition of the game. And, real race car drivers coming from playing the game.
It's like the game got thrown out with the bath water at the same level as the console sales dying. I'd be surprised if they make another attempt. What's the point of having all that money if you can't use it properly or put in the effort.
They just made a new post about the future of the series... https://www.facebook.com/ph...

Ex-Turn 10 employee reveals that the Forza Motorsport division has been closed, with the studio now focusing on supporting Forza Horizon.
Hmm would this mean Forza Motorsport series is dead as we know it? Seems that way. On a brighter note, I'm sure Forza Horizon will go from strength to strength
Forza Motorsport is dead too? That was an Xbox pillar. Guess it’s Horizon’s race now.
But isn't Turn10 the lead studio? Develops the main Forza engine for Motorsport that Playground uses it for Horizon?
If true, that makes Gran Turismo the longest running Racing Simulator game on console.
Years ago we jokingly talked about the singularity theory as something that will never happen IRL and as a thing of awe in sci-fi movies. Today that concept is edging closer to becoming a reality -a thing to be admired and perhaps feared.
