Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
From a tear down video it appears they put the wireless module inside the metal shielding as opposed to outside like many other devices have. This effects the signal strength of not just the wifi but also the controllers as it is a unified module.
If Nintendo had just cut a small space in the shielding... it would help to alleviate such issues.

people need to learn how to
1. buy better routers
2. configure said routers properly, Nintendo Consoles always work better on channel 1 or 11 if using standard 2.4Ghz N
