I don't see why they would bother with the online in this game when they should be focusing on putting the series back on track after the third game failed to live up to expectations, especially the ending fiasco.

The multiplayer in ME3 was fun for like an hour and then it got repetitive as hell.

Elit3Nick3382d ago

The ME3 multiplayer was among the most varied wave-based modes in my experience. After all the free updates every month (which were fantastic) you had 4 factions to fight against, 19 maps, 58 classes and 62 weapons, all of which played completely different from each other. No other co-op mode offered as much content or replayability, and that's why ME3's multiplayer was one of the most memorable game experiences I've had.

DevilishSix3382d ago

I feel the same way was addicted to that coop for a year and a half, friends said I needed help. I spent an entire summer on it. My N7 rating was in the top 100 in the US at one point. For my health I may want to stay away from this.

ceballos77mx3382d ago

Got hooked on it, and i cant wait for the game to be released, jumping straight to the mp.

Anzil3382d ago

Ending was amazing imo and I'm glad it ended the way it did. And 3 had the best gameplay. The coop was amazing as well and they had the current devs of Andromeda making it not slowing down the team focusing on the single player. People blow shit out of proportion kind of like what has happened in the last year from the Democratic Party

KillZallthebeast3382d ago

you shut your filthy mouth the multiplayer was fun as hell in 3 and honestly was the best part of it overall. nailing the story and refining the multiplayer would make this game amazing.

Aeery3382d ago

Maybe for you. A lot of ppl enjoyed the MP.
Also please stop already with this *focus* bullshit....

KillZallthebeast3382d ago

Aeery apparently if we don't agree we must be terrible people

Aeery3382d ago (Edited 3382d ago )

@-Foxtrot

Is this the best reply you can offer ?
No wonder your statements seem so ... generic.

@KillZallthebeast :
So it seems :D

silvacrest3382d ago

Its pretty simple, multiplayer in ME3 was pretty popular and for what it was, it actually had some depth with continuous support from bioware, ME3 multiplayer had its own community which really enjoyed it.

I'm actually looking forward to trying Andromeda's multiplayer

No Way3382d ago

Why do people use the term "repetitive?" Every game is repetitive. There may be some different tactics you can use, different skills to learn - but at the core of the game, every game is repetitive.

Stop using the excuse "it got repetitive" as a knock against a game. They all are.

Ugh. Mass Effect by the "new" BioWare will be bad enough. Having fist f**ked multiplayer into it also though? Another turd on the horizon for the new BW.

PS. Ffs, fire your character modelers already.

antz11043381d ago

Multiplayer was in the last one and it was great.

annoyedgamer3382d ago

Its almost as if EA purposely calculates these "releases" to make sure there is a steady stream of news to cover up N4G.

For All Its Flaws, Mass Effect: Andromeda's Approach to Romance is Something ME4 Can Learn From

While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.

I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.

anast504d ago (Edited 504d ago )

Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Ristul504d ago

Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.

TricksterArrow503d ago

Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

gold_drake503d ago (Edited 503d ago )

iii dunno about that.

the only really great and funny dating partner, is that outlaw guy anyways haha he was funny as hell.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

ZeekQuattro503d ago

Shout out to Keri the Asari reporter. Current relationship status be damned as she's game either way. Anything for a good story. 🤣

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast545d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine545d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast545d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman545d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast545d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

IAMRealHooman544d ago

it's like bitch but your shirt back on, your not blue or spikey get away from me

BioWare Thinks Mass Effect Andromeda Was Better Game Than Reception Suggested

BioWare thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda was a better game than what reception suggested; taught the studio not to shoehorn open-world without any meaningful content in it.

thorstein580d ago

I played it and it wasn't as bad as people said. Is it in the 8-10 range? No.

It's a 6-7, which means it's a solid game.

LordoftheCritics580d ago (Edited 580d ago )

Veilguard and Andromeda are of similar level to me.
6 to 6.5 ish

Though I think i enjoyed Andromeda's combat and sense of scale a little bit more.

XBManiac579d ago

Veilguard has better graphics.

neutralgamer1992580d ago

I agree with you It was a 6.5 type game. Gameplay was solid everything else was lacking. Playing at launch with all the issues was just absurd. EA could have let the developers keep patching and fix the game but they stopped just like they did with anthem. It’s crazy to think multi billion dollar publishers can’t afford to keeping patching their games get medium size developers can support the game for years

But when you have android wilson running the company what else can we expect.

OtterX580d ago

Except 6-7 doesn't translate as solid. 6 means a bit flimsy, but still good/enjoyable if you can look past the flaws. 7, a little less flimsy, and enjoyable. 8-10 would be "solid".

But I get your point. I skipped the game entirely, so I don't have an opinion on it.

H9580d ago

I played this game back when I wanted to give every game I bought a fair chance and finish it, it was the reason why I stopped doing so, god the game was bad

TheNamelessOne580d ago

I actually enjoyed Andromeda. It wasn't a 10/10, by any means, but I played it years after the fact, after a lot of patching, and I had a good time with it.

anast580d ago

Same, I enjoyed it too. I might even replay it soon.

TheNamelessOne580d ago

Might do the same, honestly. Went through the trilogy a couple months back.

raWfodog580d ago

I liked it as well, and also played it for the first time over a year after it was released. The original trilogy was a better story overall IMO but I still enjoyed Andromeda.

lellkay580d ago

The game is so unbelivably bad, it's laughable.

pwnmaster3000580d ago (Edited 580d ago )

It really wasn’t. Well for me nd I’m a big fan of the series.
Was it mass effect standard? No
But overall I thought it was a decent game.
6-7/10.

Armaggedon580d ago

You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need

MatrixxGT580d ago

Wow, two worlds…red ringed my 360.

Armaggedon580d ago

Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.

matt139580d ago

So delusional, the title was an embarrassment to the original trilogy. it’s the equivalent of 2042 to the battlefield franchise.

thorstein580d ago

2042 had a redemption arc and what exists now is a pretty good FPS.
