gadgetzone.com.au lists the top ten most stressful technology. Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and Windows Vista all make the list. Not because they are necessarily bad pieces of technology, but because they all have a way of seriously stressing out users. Can anyone honestly say the enjoy the red ring of death or constant firmware updates?

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

How is the PS3 even mentioned?
The console is not stressful at all...it's got one of the lowest failure rates of any consumer electronic device in years!
And...firmware updates ADD FUNCTIONALITY.
What
the
HELL
is wrong with having added functionality, for FREEEEEEEEE???????
And also, they are not CONSTANT firmware updates anymore....that is SOOOOOO 2007.
"Awesome graphics, sexy looks, scintillating games… and a bloody firmware update every time you turn the damn thing on. Of course it takes ages as well, especially when your internet connection starts to chug, which it always done when you’re just about to download firmware for your PS3."
What? I don't have any of these problems.
Firmware updates dont bother me, it's always nice to get some more functionality out of a pre-existing product for free. RROD that doesn't bother me either, ring them up, they collect it, they deliver a new one, usually within 5 days. I can go without an xbox for 5 days, I have a life.
In fact, consoles in general provide me with very little stress, turn on, put in the disc, bam, your done.
9 times out of 10 hardware problems/failures are user related (especially with OSs), normally something the user has done created the problem, they they get stressed when their hardware goes wrong. PC, consoles, everything requires maintenance, fail to do so will only result in larger headaches later.
I LOVE FIRMWARE UPDATES!! 2.4 Wooooo BRING ON 2.5 BABY lol
I don't really understand how the PS3's firmware updates can be 'stressful'. You don't even HAVE to download them right away or at all. Of course you'll want to because as LinuxGuru pointed out... it often serves to add functionality. And really they've never taken that long for me.
Oh well, doesn't bother me at least. It's not like this article is really targeting any one product anyway. Pretty much it was just looking at all the big tech toys and such and listing negatives they have. Most of the reasons weren't even that serious... like what was said about bluetooth devices.
