I don't see it in See them selling from now to Christmas as much or less then holiday sales I don't see them doing more than 2 million holiday with Ps4 pro rumored price drop xbox so price drop as well as scorpio launch

I think they will if the lines last night were any indication. I bought mine from Walmart, the same walmart I bought the Wii US from. BIG difference! There were around 50-60 people compared to the six I saw when I got the Wii U.

I would say that my guess is they move something like 11-12 million units this year. Just a guess based on a) what our stock was b) our midnight launch (sold out of our walkin units) and based on the demand if it continues. Also I agree our launch was very similar to what you had at your launch.

Of course that is only if Nintendo decides to stock us regularly.

@Chevalier

I was honestly surprised that demand was so high. When the Wii U launched I only saw people in their mid twenties but there were parents with their kids waiting to get a switch. I view that as a positive sign.

*whispers wiiu wasn't held back like this sending a mere few consoles to fake popularity if im wrong i'll apologize but more and more reviews showing 3hr battery life 900p to tv i dont see 5million by yr end we will see

@Chevalier, no way Nintendo sales 11-12mil this year lol!
1.First off Nintendo has severely damaged their user base with Wii U.
2.Second they lost the casual crowd when they didn't capitalize on the Wii success.
3.Only a couple million, probably 4-5mil hardcore and curious fans will bite the apple this year.

That's a very healthy estimate and a very very good start for the platform.

I think there's a possibility it might be higher.

Waiting for switch to get more games, once that happens I will.support. You can count me in as a 1 of the future million who purchase switch.

badz1493363d ago

Just 5 mil? I think Xbone sells more than that a year.

badz1493363d ago (Edited 3363d ago )

what? this is 2017 this article is talking about and the Switch already launched. 5 mil in 9 months is a bit pathetic don't you think? Sony sells that much in the holiday season alone

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing19d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9219d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit19d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing19d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9219d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
