In my years of pc hardware browsing on the internet I noticed that one term is being used a lot on the budget market and that is “this pc is a console killer”.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

All available May 5.
I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
Haven't seen one console yet killed by PC.
Maybe, they're not actually trying to and is only talk by a chosen few. Maybe they both... I don't know... coexist?
Except the console industry has been going 45 years strong in the face of computers
You can't kill the console business with PCs any more than you can kill the hot dog business with hamburgers. They appeal to different tastes and consumers. Having said that, it is possible to assemble a budget gaming PC for about $600 which will eclipse the consoles at raw performance--using decent parts too. You pays your money, and you takes your choice.
Edit: Check this out, at a little over $500:
