They are not large, they are the the exact size of a PSP case but thinner in width. Obviously because this is a hybrid console and 3DS is still selling so why confuse people with smaller cases? I love them. And they look more mature and clean in the clear plastic.
I just held one in my hand earlier today at work and they really aren't that big. Sure, they are taller than the 3DS boxes. However, I was actually surprised as to how small the cases were when I unboxed them.
