Bethesda has three games in development

So its time to speculate, to attempt to figure out the how’s, what’s and why’s of what Bethesda is up to. Todd Howard, the executive producer of Bethesda has revealed that they are currently working on three unannounced projects. When asked by Glixel what the company was up too, aside from fallout 4 VR and the Switch copy of Skyrim, Howard stated that there were two “classic” Bethesda titles as well as one mobile title – Something along the lines of Fallout Shelter.

Xbox/pc exclusives incoming, announced at E3, watch for it

Christopher3252d ago

I hope it turns out to not be true. Not because I don't think it possible, only because you turned this into a platform war rather than sticking to the news of more games for more gamers. Personally, I hope they all go everywhere like I wish for all games.

Kribwalker3252d ago

I wasn't turning this into a platform war. MS and Bethesda have a fantastic working relationship, and now with their E3 conferences piggybacking and a Bethesda reps comment before that not everything is on PlayStation, I could legitimately see it happening.

Christopher3252d ago

***I could legitimately see it happening.***

You made it about platforms by saying nothing about the games, just about the platforms. Perhaps you didn't mean to, but that's exactly what you did.

_-EDMIX-_3252d ago

@krib- why would them having a great working relationship mean not creating a PC or PlayStation 4 version of their games? How is that even relevant?

I'm not even entirely sure what this company would have gained missing out on the larger install bases.

I still love this company and I still purchase all of their games on PlayStation but I'm sorry I don't see them being stupid enough to abandon an entire install base, it just doesn't really make sense.

Market needs games for ps4 and PC, not so much Xbox...If we really want to talk about the market. Sony has done us right 99℅ of the time while xbox customers forget how many times Ms has had their way with them

InTheZoneAC3252d ago

lol wut? What does that even mean, xbox/pc exclusives...LOL

DeadlyOreo3252d ago

Why announce major PC/Xbox exclusives when games sell so much more on PS4? That does not make any sense one bit 😂 Especially with a company like Bethesda. Come back to reality bro. Fallout Shelter is all you'd get.

Puertorock773251d ago

Exactly. PS4 is the market leader. Bethesda is not going to miss out on all those game sales.

alstruck3251d ago

If someone want to make an xbox(and pc lol) exclusive, just let them.. I hope their fate is better than Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, or Rise of Tomb Raider. It all depends on the scorpio now

Kribwalker3251d ago

Ps2 was by far the market leader when Morrowind was released exclusively to Xbox/PC

Kribwalker3251d ago

@alstruck
Titanfall sold more when it was exclusive to Xbox/pc then it has when released with Xbox/PC/PS4

KyRo3251d ago

Yay, more games that everyone buys, gets awarded GOTY despite being broken but its okay, its Bethesda they get a free pass for releasing glitch filled games whilst other get knocked down for it...

Puertorock773251d ago

Not if it's a AAA game title. Maybe the mobile title.

Dragonscale3251d ago

@krib, ms wouldn't foot the bill for the lost revenue. Dream harder.

The seems low for a big publisher like that

3251d ago
conanlifts3252d ago

So fallout, wolfenstein and skyrim 2...

Deadlead3252d ago

Wolfenstein is developed by machine games, just published by Bethesda

conanlifts3252d ago

Oh okay. I didn't realise that. Thanks.

_-EDMIX-_3252d ago

I mean to be fair because it is published by Bethesda I would assume they would look at it as one of their games as well.

It could possibly be The Evil Within 2 I know Shinji mikami said he was not looking to direct the sequel but hopefully he could produce.

conanlifts3252d ago

I really enjoyed the evil within, so a second installment would be welcomed by me and certainly a day 1 purchase.

_-EDMIX-_3252d ago

@sd- The Evil Within is easily one of the best survival horror games I've ever played.

The sequel is an easy day one for me

phoenixwing3252d ago

all i want is their new elder scrolls that's not an online game, not that i have anything against the online only version it's just i like the single player versions the most

notachance3251d ago (Edited 3251d ago )

They already said they won't work on it before another two big titles, now if this news of two big titles and 1 mobile game is true that means the next one after these three will be a TES game

UnHoly_One3251d ago

I was pleasantly surprised by Elder Scrolls Online.

It's not as good as the regular solo games, but I really enjoyed it.

Rockstar launches official marketplace for mods

Rockstar has launched an official marketplace for "every server and every player" to buy mods: Cfx Marketplace.

I wonder how much of this isn't just taken work of others who have modded for free.

Edit: Also, great way for R* to take popular ideas and build them into GTAVI based on demand.

fr0sty13h ago

What I see happening here is, R* is going to ban mods in GTA6 UNLESS you buy them from the marketplace and R* then gets a cut of that sale.

ActualWhiteMan16h ago

Ah, perfect timing with them taking down the Bully online fan mod. Greedy a$$ company.

Christopher13h ago

It's okay as long as they get a cut of the money.

fr0sty13h ago

Expect R* to force it on you.

Snookies127h ago

Yep, right there with you. I'll happily donate to a mod creator if it looks really cool, or if I enjoy it. But expecting payment up front? Nope, not touching it.

IanTH13h ago(Edited 13h ago)

I'm not entirely sure how to read this, as it doesn't seem exactly like an exact parallel to Bethesda's paid mods shenanigans.

Rather than single player stuff, this appears to be aimed solely on Cfx Servers. From what I've gleaned, apparently Rockstar bought the Cfx mod team several years ago, coming a few years after weird contentions led them to ban a few of their members. Ultimately, the question is if they plan to keep this contained to only online/servers.

I have to guess to a degree yes. It'd be pretty hard to "force" paid mods for single player when modding files locally on your own machine, but much easier for servers they'll control. So perhaps this is their soft launch ahead of GTA6 online and they'll clamp down more tightly on non-official servers going forward? Ever since they've become a 1 or 2 property studio, I haven't really cared much for Rockstar stuff, so I'm not entirely up on everything surrounding this. Sounds like it has the potential to be problematic further down the line, but right now fairly easy to ignore...I think lol.

Kotick Made $155 million from MS in the buyout, the little b*tch needs to stop whining. Thanks to this Microslop deal and massive industry consolidation thousands upon thousands of devs and other workers lost their livelihoods. This greedy piggie pervert needs shut up and f-off.
