They are always pre-E3, but normally it's on the Monday.

Oh, yeah I knew that. What I meant was the pressers are usually the day before, effectively kicking off the whole thing while the 11th is a few days before.

Yes, this news also means there most likely won't be a separate event for Project Scorpio.

Strange decision in my opinion.

Considering the image they used in the tweet, that's what I'm thinking as well. Which sounds like it's gonna be a lot of hardware and not much software as usual. I'd like for them to show off a load of games instead of revealing their new console. Its what I watch e3 for. Regardless, I'm interested in seeing the Scorpio finally!

who says this is not a seperate event? sunday will be about scorpio and monday will be the regular e3 event. if it is just this event and they wait until then to talk more about scorpio then thats a bad move. they should get scorpio out of the way and not have e3 just about it.

i hope so too because the only new one i am looking forward to is sea of thieves, cuphead looks great too but that is not a aaa game. they need to invest in big NEW ip's.

Pressers are always before E3 open its doors to the wider public.

I hope Sony reschedules their conference to a more European friendly time this year - I hate staying up till 4 in the morning, especially on a weekday.

That sucks. They should do it on Tuesday after all the other conferences are over. I don't know why they keep going first. It's one of the dumbest things to do.

I like the order as it is personally because I prefer Playstation so I like to end it on the PS conference but I do wonder how they always manage to be in the same order every year.

Scorpio doesn't scare me at all. It's just a console. If it does well, then so be it. Congrats to MS.

But seriously, name me one time when XBox fans have been right touting anything that MS has marketed as the big thing to save Xbox this gen?

That's right....not once. So I expect Scorpio will be the same. probably do modestly well in the market at first, then fizzle out and die as MS cuts the price in an attempt to actually secure market share. Just like they did with the X1.

If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. No biggie. Hardly a pants deflating moment.

I'll send it with one of my favorite comments from the Scalebound cancellation tweet.

"Damn MS, if you want us to jump in, you should fill up the pool with water".

Most likely their conference will be longer than usual. Moving it to Sunday gets them a bigger audience and gives them more room to talk about Scorpio and games. They do not have to share a date with many 3rd party publishers and other console makers. They get more time for hardware stuff and games. Bethesda is the only big 3rd party publisher I know doing a conference the same day with MS and we will most likely be seeing them on stage at MS conference.

I think EA might do Sunday again this year. But I agree, it will probably be a bigger show, maybe even a Bethesda exclusive, after you know, their PR Guy talking not everything that's on Xbox will be on PlayStation, could be

christo. MS is probably announcing something from Bethesda, and Bethesda is showing it in detail on their conference. however, we don't actually know if Bethesda will ahve it on Sunday or not yet. No announcement

Bethesda will never do exclusives.. They will lose to much sales. Considering the installbase of PS4 vs Scorpio, besides the backlash would be huge if they for example would announce TES6 exclusive for Xbox Scorpio. And MS would have to dig deep for the loss of those sales, that's how it works. I rather see some good new fresh ip's, which could give me a reason to maybe actually buy the Scorpio.

The first 3 elder scrolls were MS Platform (1&2 were dos/windows number 3 was windows/Xbox) and oblivion came out on PS3 a year after Xbox (mind you the PS3 wasn't released yet anyways) so maybe it's going home.
