The launch of the Nintendo Switch is imminent. On March 3rd, the handheld-console hybrid will be released into the hands of hungry fans all around the world. There are already many games announced for the platform, and certainly plenty to be excited about. From the motion controlled boxing game ARMS, to Mario’s latest adventure Mario: Odyssey, the first year is looking very promising indeed. Meh, BOTW is the only must have Switch game for me. As I have said, I bought Xbox One instead. Ton of used games(used system too) with a year plan and Gamestop Pro card $323. Since then picked up a bunch more games for it too.

I already have Wii U, and so MK8 which is AMAZING, its just not a must purchase when I already have all DLC on Wii U. Splatoon should be great, but not a must have.

Had Mario Odyssey been a release or even Skyrim (yeah I am the one guy who has not played it) I would have pre ordered, but just could not justify it. So it looks like for me, Switch will be a fall purchase, and YES I am VERY EXCITED. I could have bought Skyrim for XB1, but I want it for Switch I think I am also waiting till I buy a Switch for BOTW, because it runs better.. If you do not have a Wii U, Switch is a no brainer, MK8 Deluxe, and BOTW, are worth the purchase alone.

Yeah, but how much better does it actually run? If they can keep the framerate stable i could live with the Wii U offering. Unfortunately i lost my gamepad in a move, so I'll have to buy a switch eventually. A used game store was selling a used wii u for $230, for that I'll just drop 300 on a switch.

if you are excited about 1-2 Switch then your life is even sadder than mine

1, 2 switch looks like it could be a fun party game with friends. Of course if you are lacking in the friend department it would be boring as hell.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit30d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9229d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
