The graphics & physics look really good!

I hope you're joking. Try playing the game yourself on a huge HDTV. It looks terrible.

Beast_Master6456d ago

I played it on a 56 inch samsung with HDMI and I thought it looked great, I really enjoyed the demo and looking forward to making this my first purchase of the fall.. Followed by Dead Space, LBP, Bioshock, Far Cry 2 then Fallout 3 will break my bank account by the end of the month. Then in Nov. R2, LOR:COnquest, W@W, and PoP. Wow need to figure out what needs to go on the old X-Mas list.

I played it on a 42' HD LCD and it looked great too.

this demo was pretty lame. the land rising is cool but the shooting controls were terrible. graphics were pretty bad also, i was playing it on 40" 1080p.

you think Rick? I'm in two minds, need another play I think. I initially thought it was a bit gimmicky, but quite enjoyed the variety of weapons, graphics arn't that bad

looked like bad copy of unreal tournament. I just don't like steroid, plastic type of graphic. Had enough of ut3 engine.

Ju6456d ago

Is it UE3 ? Don't think so (they'd show a UE license logo on startup). And it does not have this "halo" look around characters like UE3 games do. I think it looked great, but, true the art style is a bit like UT3 (or Epic, if you want). It played nicely, but needs a bit getting used to.

if you enjoyed this demo you really really like crappy a$$ games.. Well most 360 games are like this.. Cheesy voice acting, dumb story/plot, with unreal looking graphics and textures..

This game was horrible.. The actual game play was horrible... Everything about the demo was hoorible..

THE TERMINATOR6456d ago

Seems 360 owners like the graphics
PS3 owners are used to higher standards therefore it doesnt impress me at all. Im suprised that some think the graphics are great.

Last Chance to Play: Fracture

"ZL: The reception was less than underwhelming. Fracture is one of those games that has already been forgotten; “terrain deformation” failed to impress gamers, the struggle between the Pacificans and the Alliance (though I’m not sure who they’re aligned with) inspired no one, everyone hated the main character and the online servers are host to nothing more than tumbleweeds."

Games in a time of climate change

We're well into the first week of August, and the summer's hottest days could be just ahead. There's still a debate being waged over climate change policies proposed to help curb its effects, but in some video game that debate is over and the effects of climate change lead to a bleak future. We speak to Dr. David Robinson, New Jersey State Climatologist and Professor in the Department of Geography at Rutgers University, to find out if these video games' vision of a post climate change future holds more fact or fiction.
