For $12 more you can have a G700s, which is a better mouse in my opinion. 250 hours of battery life sounds great on paper, but it's pointless when it only applies to using power save mode and commercial batteries. There is no way to recharge the batteries, only swap them out and if you use rechargeable versions with an external charger, you aren't going to see anywhere near that "250 hours" of battery life. For me, the G700s is a lot more mouse for the money with a lot more features. I just wish you could still get the "normal" G700 and not the "s" model, which looks a bit foolish.

I only have an M310 right now because I was a bit strapped for cash back when I bought it. It has some mechanical issues though that plague it, like the mouse cursor getting stuck until I actually remove and put a battery back in despite light indicating functionality, with similar issues if both the right and left click get pressed simultaneously. The worst is that the middle click requires more pressure than it should to give a response. I guess I probably just got a lemon, but I don't game as much because I can't predict when it will lead me to failure.

I'm looking to upgrade, and price isn't an issue this go around. Would you say the G700s is a quality upgrade worth investing in?

I'd say for the money, it's worth the chance. Logitech are not the best at gaming accessories but since they are mass market, they tend to be halfway decent and affordable. There are better mice out there but they tend to be a lot more specialized and cost a lot more. There are other gaming mice with prices similar to Logitech offerings but despite well known brand names, I have had very little luck with them long term.

I bought my G700 to replace my very old G7 mouse which I would have again in a heartbeat if it were possible, but it's a bit outdated and I doubt any of the old stock ones would be worth the asking price now, particularly with the rechargeable battery being dead all these years. So the next best option for me was the G700, which has a few drawbacks as well as better features over the old G7. I do miss the hot swap battery feature and the cord on the G700 is a pain, but I have gotten used to it and hardly notice it anymore. When I am goofing off, I leave it plugged in, when I game, I unplug it. So far I have not run into many issues with the battery life and plugging it back in seems to work ok even mid-game. It picks up right off with no problems. As I mentioned before, the G700s is what is available now which is basically the same mouse with some decoration. I much prefer my G700 to the "s" model, but that's a matter of taste.

About the worst part about Logitech accessories is the software, which is a necessary evil though it does take a little getting used to. If nothing else, at least it's updated pretty regularly unlike some of the other brands that ignore the software once they move on to other products. Just my .02

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit28d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing28d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
