It will be as much a hit as the wiiu was. Nowhere near Ps4 numbers tho
I think it will do reasonable at first just because it's not a WiiU. Every gamer that grew up with Nintendo (I started on NES and Game & Watch) wants to see them back to former glory, so they'll be wanting to wash the WiiU taste out of their mouths.
Plus it should do well it Japan since it's a handheld and that's basically all they play now. Maybe this hybrid thing can bring a resurgence of consoles in Japan and it will lift gaming in general there
I'm optimistic. I think it will sell well.
Depends on your definition 'hit'. Looking at my library of WiiU games vs PS4 I also own, the WiiU (for me) has been far, far the bigger success this gen, certainly in terms of games owned/enjoyed.
But yes, I think Switch will shift some numbers, not Wii but not WiiU either - somewhere in between.
