I love the naruto games, but we have reached an era where the online mode is critical. All games must support online. Not having an online mode is naruto UNS just made the game unworthy for me§

"we have reached an era where the online mode is critical"

Not every game needs an 'Online Mode' to be good. Do you feel the same about God of War 3? Heavy Rain? Etc. Multiplayer games that were made to BE multiplayer games I can understand but everything else doesn't need it. Even if Naruto: UNS had online I wouldn't be playing much online anyway.

SeanScythe6458d ago

ummm Bioshock doesn't have online uncharted didn't have online and many other really great game didn't have online. Online doesn't make the game, it the fun factor.

INehalemEXI6458d ago (Edited 6458d ago )

Online would be nice, Its not a big deal IMO though to not have it for this game. Just play with someone physically next to you ..... Just make sure its not someone with bad breath or BO.

I just get regular edition this LE does not excite me.

The gaming GOD6458d ago

I'm buying it either way.

Not every game needs online modes. In a fps game yeah online mode is a big thing. But for fighting games, it's not as important (my opinion).

Besides, some of the best games out don't have online modes. Bioshock and Uncharted are good examples of such

deeznuts6458d ago (Edited 6458d ago )

I don't even play online anymore so you can take all the online gaming in the world for yourself and shove it.

BTW I'm not against online gaming, just the "everything needs online" sentiment.

princejb1346458d ago

uncharted and bioshock are single player games, naruto is more of a fighter
i aint saying the game is gonna be bad cause ama buy it day 1 anyway
but online will give it more replay value

Zun6458d ago (Edited 6458d ago )

Cute but uneducated comment.

The introduction of internet enabled consoles does not mean off line mode gaming will cease to exist,be any less fun or lack in inspiration and creativity and they never will. some of the all time greatest games are off line which range from a wide spectrum of genres.

Sorry Sir, and i mean this as gently as possible.. but you know nothing about gaming.

cahill6458d ago

cemelc6458d ago (Edited 6458d ago )

No One Makes Anime Games Quite As Well As CyberConnect2

There's nothing quite like flying in DBZ: Kakarot or Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm's battles.

That's also the problem. They are decent but never truly ambitious in challenging the powerhouses of any genre whether RPG or fighting.

Outlawzz1791d ago

Completely agree. Their games never quite reach that high point. They have potential but it's like they hold themselves back.

melons1792d ago

They do seem to have taken a safe route with the new Demon Slayer game though, which has no demons to slay (???) and is very similar to Ninja Storm.

spartan112g1791d ago

I mean, ArcSys makes better anime games in Guilty Gear and FighterZ, so this argument fell on its face quick.

Pepsi_Man30001791d ago

Those are both fighting games based off of an anime. Naruto storm, my hero one justice, that shitty one punch man game, etc are the games the writer is talking about Im sure

lucian2291791d ago

except naruto games are barely actual deep fighting games

BrainSyphoned1791d ago

Or 20 second fights fall on their face when portraying multi season anime.

Outlawzz1791d ago

I like the games they work on and how they recreate the feel of the anime. They are masters of that imo but the gameplay is usually basic and doesn't ever try anything new. It's mostly the same over and over.

So that basically only ever makes it a good game with lots of potential to be a great game.

Pepsi_Man30001791d ago

CC2 has a lot of potential. Theyre amazing when it comes to spectacle. Naruto storm looked great and asuras was amazing cinematic wise, but theyre gameplay needs so much improvement. Its so damn basic. Its like they hold themselves back. I remember the reveal trailer for asuras wrath having body slams, and suplexes, dragging enemies across the ground etc. And for some weird reason all of that was removed for gameplay that was hardly anything more than mashing the circle button.

And its even more frustrating cuz theyve done how many storm games now. Youd think they wouldve managed ti improve but tis like theyre not even trying. Idk man. I just feel like a dev like them shouldve been way bigger by now
