GameCube had an awesome library. People give the Wii flack, but there was a pretty solid library ignoring the shovelware. Nintendo even released a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. Just imagine if they released a Super Mario 128 or Super Mario Sunshine 2 in the N64 and GameCube eras. I think Switch is going to have a GameCube like third party library and a super awesome first party. As long as the third party games are good, that is what I care about. I bought the most third party games in the NES, SNES and GameCube eras.

Thats ^ because they actually had 3rd party support back then....in other words dont hold your breath dude just wait and decide when you see actual 3rd party games worth buying for the Switch.

I dont agree with your 3rd party game choices as being reason enough to justify getting the Switch just yet but I respect your choice and I admire your dedication in supporting them in hope they receive more 3rd party games down the line.

The issue with releasing another GameCube, while not a bad idea, financially wouldn't make much sense. Nintendo make a powerful console with lots of third party backing support and it is the worst(second worst now compared to Wii U) selling console. Why make a follow up of that?

Their approach with the Switch hopefully will merge their home and handheld divisions together; then you'll see a steady stream of games.
I mean, compare their handheld division to their home division and you see how much more support the handheld one got.
