How is this gaming news? Just because it involves a game developer doesn't mean it's gaming news. Politics should only be involved in a gaming website if it directly affects gaming. How does their opinion on politics affect gaming on any level? They say it would harm their game company, but they don't explain how, meaning there's still no relevancy to gaming, just politics. If it's constitutional or not, is up to the courts, not developers. So let political media serve this up if they want, not the gaming community.

Contrary to the dissenters, this video is VERY relevant. Video games are primarily designed by immigrants. I work in film and have run into many VFX artists... they are all Polish, German, Russian, Danish, Chinese, etc.

While the ban is temporary, I still disagree with it. It was recently mentioned that some of those countries may be on the list indefinitely, so to dismiss it as temporary is a bit preemptive. And really, if you're going to do this, why would you skip over Saudi Arabia or Pakistan? Those countries are quite well known, more so than other countries on the ban list, for their violence. Could it be because, gasp, the president has business interests in those two nations?

Liberals and conservatives are a bloody joke. Both sides are sensitive in their own ways. Whether it's policing language or popping a blood vessel because someone takes a knee during the national anthem, both involve expression and speech, fundamental parts of the constitution.

That all being said, I can get behind Insomniac on this. They're voicing their opinion on the matter, which they're allowed to do, just as some of you are allowed to be whiny enough to boycott their games for not even personally offending you (unless you WERE personally offended, in which case, seek help). It's amazing how divided America has become in a week, yet complained that the last 8 years have been so divisive. Politics didn't bother people then to nearly the same degree.

I served in the United States Marine Corps and I'm proud to say I fought for the freedoms of all Americans no matter what race or religion. During my two tours in Iraq I met many good people and I wish Mr Trump understood the average people in those countries affected by this ban are more scared of terrorism than we ever could be, they live with it every day.

Insomniac Games CEO & Founder Ted Price just proves that he has no basic understanding of our Constitution, of history, or of common sense.

1) Nowhere in this order does the word Muslim or Islam even appear, so how does anybody suppose that it has anything to do with race or religion when the order leaves the 50 other Muslim countries, including 9 of the 10 largest, untouched? The fact is that the affected countries have largely dysfunctional governments in which vetting is largely impossible. This list was taken from the Obama administration and is completely reasonable and prudent.

2) Obama did the same thing, as did President Carter, when they shut down immigration from specific countries due to national security risks.

3) There is absolutely nothing unconstitutional about this order, even if the order specifically stated a ban on certain religions, which it does not - The Constitution is a document that limits the Federal Government in it's control and influence over US citizens and states, it has nothing to do with foreign nationals.

The reaction to this very moderate and reasonable decision is completely asinine. It is a temporary moratorium on immigration on people from certain high risk countries in an effort to protect US citizens. Citizens of other countries have no absolute right to come to the US, I'm sorry to break that to some of you, but it is good will of the US that allows for that, but we shouldn't put ourselves needlessly at risk while doing it.
