Cole Young almost made the jump from movie newcomer to game canon in Mortal Kombat 1, but a last-minute time crunch shut it down.

A rare first-party Nintendo games sale has just gone live on Amazon with around a dozen of the company's titles discounted.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
If this becomes an indie machine for third parties ima be pissed
Eh, I am buying Switch for Nintendo games... if great indies come to it, then that is only a plus, IMO.
I remember playing world of goo on my Wii. This is so sad.
More devs and publishers should jump aboard now. This thing is going to be a hot seller its already sold out everywhere, people are going MAD for Nintendo stuff right now. Ive spoken with several managers at major retailers including Walmart, GameStop, and Best Buy and theyre all anticipating the Switch to be a HUGE success for Nintendo. The timing is right for something a little different but still quality. The switch doesnt need to be the best, it just has to be good enough and it damn well looks to be. This is what the wii U should have been, sure, but prepare to have Nintendo reaping the benefits of this thing really soon.
The Wii U is already forgotten about too as retailers are seeing $$$$$ with the amount of accessories and merchandise they'll be able to sell. The pro controllers and joy cons, hell anything Switch associated, is COMPLETELY sold out everywhere all the time and the people I spoke with dont think Nintendo will be able to come close to keeping up with demand. One actually said the system itself may be difficult to find from launch all the way through the holiday season. Basically, it'll only be available on eBay for double or more the MSRP. I am one who has been vocal about my disappointment with the Switch too. I was competely underwhelmed with the videos and launch lineup, price tag, etc. But after hearing feedback from those who have tried it and thinking about where the market is headed, I really do think Nintendo may really be on to something big.
E3 is right around the corner as well and Nintendo has stated their promise to not make the same mistakes they did with Wii U. Ive heard some rumblings that there are some pretty big announcements coming up that Nintendo has purposefully held back to keep the momentum from launch going. Ive not heard titles or anything of that nature, but its already been announced that Nintendo has merged their 3ds and console development houses to streamline content releases. This has to pay dividends eventually and the Switch will benefit from this focused development philosophy. Its kind of like what Sony did when they pulled their 1st party teams off Vita development to increase ps4 game output. Thats paying off for Sony now with the 1st party lineup really starting to shine just recently. And the lineup for PS4 looks so good this year because those developers have had the time to work on ps4 projects rather than toiling away on Vita stuff. Its a good philosophy and its going to help Nintendo in the months following launch when they can announce stuff to fill out the lineup for the rest of the year and beyond.
