No and next I would like FF6 and FF9 remakes :)

While I'm somewhat disappointed with the switch to Action, I absolutely detest the episodic nature.

Nah, an FF 7 remake is a great idea. Problem is, this won't be an FF VII remake. It's going to be some disgusting mutation that belongs in Resident Evil.

I have some mixed feelings about FFVII remake. But there's one positive front to this. The game will be developed with the Unreal 4 engine which will make the development process smoother and easier and even less stressful than it was with FFXV when it was developed with an engine that is still not completely finished. And the project is collaborated with CyberConnect2 development studio and they have the experience in the JRPG territory and since the game will be in multiple parts it is a probability the save data transfer will be an option . And the studio is known for making games with appealing visuals with smooth animations. And if Square-Enix isn't lying (which in most cases they're known for mishandling management with false information) the content will remain uncut. The only way the remake may fail is by altering the story for modern standards. And that's a huge issue since FFVII on its own is a quirky game with weird moments and awkward character interactions. Would you just imagine the level of quirkiness in a game with photo-realistic visuals? I don't know if it's a good idea. The original game is special to many gamers and altering the storytelling in the remake may lead to off-putting disappointment. I for one am all for real-time combat with more strategy and additions to the combat but if the combat ends up like Advent Children blatant button-mashing that is all style no substance, I don't know how would I feel about that. If the combat is more similar to I don't know, Xenogears, Parasite Eve or Grandia, than that might be interesting. But honestly, I don't understand people's craze for the remake. The original game itself feels pretty much complete. I understand that people are urging for more remakes of classic games since they pretty much compensate for the lack of backwards compatibility of PS4 but here's the thing. The original game is already available on PS4 for 16$. So the game itself is already accessible. It doesn't look visually appealing for today's standards but it's still on a playable form. It feels like Square-Enix knows that he's on a deep pinch financially so they'll be using FFVII as a last resort in case FFXV underperforms. But since the stocks were skyrocketing after the announcement of FFVII remake, Square-Enix has to make this game without even thinking it through and if the game happens to flop or happens to be cancelled by any circumstances, Square-Enix fails as customer's service provider and that would affect the reputation of the longing well known series. Fingers crossed if FFVII remake turns out to be good.

People wanted a Revamp/Graphic upgrade of the game... Not a remake that change all the game like going from a turn base rpg to a hack n slash/button mashing stupidity...

I didn't play this on the original Playstation, but I did buy the steam version after hearing about the amazing mods that are available. Square Enix definitely made the right decision to re-release this game on multiple platforms decades after release.

I am still wishing for the day Nintendo releases the original Pokemon Red and Blue on mobile with online features.

Edit: I am also looking forward to the day Square Enix ports FFX to mobile.
