F u Nintendo... I cant. belive this crap .
So all your western fans get a gimped game.... What are those board members thinking singing off on this shite .
The last time i bought anything Nintendo. Was the n64 .... And everything before it.... I don't remember Nintendo being this shite .... Definitely not the Nintendo I remember.

freshslicepizza3280d ago

the company doesnt get it and it seems like they never will and dont care to get it. i know sony and microsoft have official forums where they do get feedback, does nintendo offer this type of customer interaction?

Yi-Long3279d ago

This decision by Nintendo means I lost all interest in Zelda ( I only buy, support and enjoy games in their original language), and with that, it also automatically means I won't be buying the Switch...

A shame, cause the game seems good and the console has potential. But when games like Zelda and/or Xenoblade 2 will only be available dubbed, then it's simply a no-go...

You we're never going to get it if it had subtitles anyway. Look at your comment history. Nice trolling attempt. The voice acting seems to be just as good as the japanese. Don't understand how it's gimped.

Do you even know that voice acting is non existent for link? Or the fact that there is very little voice acting at all? Or the fact that most of the game is reading text henc you already have the subtitles?

freshslicepizza3279d ago

stop defending this, there is no reason why they cant offer both

ameliabaz3279d ago

The N64 didn't have dual audio either, though?

JunMei3279d ago

Nope. It only included the original Japanese actors.

Neonridr3280d ago

well that's a shame. Here's hoping Nintendo can release an update somehow to correct that since the Japanese voices are all on the cart. Can't be that hard to be able to pick the audio track and the subtitles track separately.

Erik73573279d ago (Edited 3279d ago )

Audio track, maybe. But subtitles are defiantly easily doable. Really moronic to not have subtitles built into the game. What if you're death? But hey, majority of the game has no voices.

I don't think voice acting is a huge part of this game and only on occasions.

I hate when the browser suggest to correct my misspelled "Definitely" and it always ends up as "Defiantly" ... damn browsers...

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3279d ago

dang. I guess imma have to deal with Zelda's English Voice Actor terrible performance with Zelda's crying scene.

Kaneki-Ken3279d ago

Zelda English voice is horrible and I do prefer Japanese voice since sounds more natural. But guess I can mute her everytime her scene comes up.

Vhampir3279d ago

Personally I prefer the English Voice actress. JP version is too over the top and child like for me.

Personally I'm not a fan of either the Japanese OR English crying scene. The English one sounds half-assed, but the Japanese one was that horrible stereotypical over-the-top wail that so many female anime characters do. Nobody actually cries like that.

gangsta_red3279d ago

I always try and play Japanese games in it's original language. Just something so cringe worthy when playing with English voices.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

Michael from NoobFeed writes: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition is the same game that you know and love, but with additional bells and whistles that somehow make a perfect game even better. With a feature-rich companion app, true 4K visuals, buttery-smooth 60fps, and an extra save file, what's not to love?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition review - ChristCenteredGamer

CCG writes - "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition successfully takes one of Nintendo’s best titles and makes it look and run exponentially better than it ever has before. After playing this new version, it’s hard to think that I settled for such a worse-performing version all these years. "

I say this as an owner of a switch 2 officially now (got it finally last week). Thats all well and good, but lots of us were saying the switch was underpowered to begin with - then labeled as haters (why would a hater buy a device they hate?).
I loved BOTW on Switch but could never escape the feeling that despite how good, it just felt.... old... graphically.

Glad to see theres an elevated experience on the new switch 2... but the point still stands - imagine if Nintendo released an actual real console with the full power of the series x or ps5. then imagine what BOTW could look like. I wish Nintendo would do something like what MS did with series x/s - release a full proper console as the flagship, then have the switch as the portable scaled down option. They both play the same games, but the console would run the full blast version of the games. That would be a win in my book.

also like MS (and occasionally Sony), I wish Nintendo would release these upgrades for free. A new switch 2 game is already $80, and they're charging $18 to play a game you already own with better frame rates and resolution. thats almost as bad as them charging money for the "welcome tour" game, that literally just shows you the features of the switch. not a cheap system after purchase.

MrBaskerville150d ago

It's not free, but the upgrades are included in the Nintendo subscription service thingy.

rlow1150d ago

@MrBaskerville

Which still means your paying for it.

1nsomniac150d ago

…which is exactly what he just said - “it’s not free”.
