Set in the Age of Sail and casting players as natives defending their island from pirates, New Dawn seeks crowdfunding support.
Today, Epic Games has released a major update to its free-to-play third-person Moba Paragon, titled The New Dawn showing also a new dedicated video.
Joanna Mueller writes: "In addition to the smooth character animations featured in the game trailer, New Dawn also promises an advanced AI for its antagonists. Pirates learn and adapt through their encounters with the natives. They will learn to defend against repeated attacks and sneak in to loot valuables. A far cry from the feral animals or zombies of most games.
This is the type of dynamic gameplay I have wanted to see devs attempt this gen. Crazy though that your character is defenseless when you log out. The launch will be followed up by news stories in which people are found dead in their homes from 2 weeks of continuous gameplay!
