Power Up Gaming: "Nintendo officially unveiled their new console, the Switch, this week. Many people throughout the world enjoyed their conference and have shown unrestrained enthusiasm for the new device. But not us. The good moments were few and far between during the reveal conference, and in this week's episode of The Gentleman's Pantry, we speculate whether or not the Switch could be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin."

Cole Young almost made the jump from movie newcomer to game canon in Mortal Kombat 1, but a last-minute time crunch shut it down.

A rare first-party Nintendo games sale has just gone live on Amazon with around a dozen of the company's titles discounted.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
I just have to say first...
What kind of fool rates his shower? It's like rating a $#lt you just had and giving a rating on that."I give this $#lt a 7/10." Ridiculous.Podcast starts off horrible. I stopped listening.Anyway...
I highly doubt there are going to be just 2 games for launch. There are going to be more games and more announcements before it's release in 2 months and more throughout the year.
The system is fine for what Nintendo is doing with it and it's built in features. It doesn't need to be 4K with alien processors and last 20 hours on a charge. It doesn't need to play the exact games as the other 2 systems. My guess is battery packs with longer life will be made for it. Gamers seem fine playing lower resolution games on Xbox. And gamers seem fine playing games like battlefield on PS4 at 900p.
I don't ever agree with paying for online. Or old Nintendo games as monthly rentals. But I've never seen so much negativity. Gamers say they want competition, that they want each console to stand out from the other, but then turn around and beg for Nintendo to fail so that there are less systems on the market. And then beg for Nintendo to make games for the other 2 systems. Doesn't make sense.
I'm more of a fan of what Sony is doing right this gen, but this negative behavior before Switch even launches is maddening. Gamers are becoming too jaded. If it fails, then it fails. But wanting the exact same power with the exact same games and the exact same features is saying you really just want one system on the market. Because they'll all be the same.
Nintendo's excuse is that they like to try something different and new. Gamers excuse is that they want the exact same thing or they won't buy it. But complain that there isn't something new and different to try. Ridiculous.
No one is begging for them to fail. Its just that the switch isn't particularly convincing as competition tbh.
Only the casuals and soccer moms can save Nintendo now.
I think it might be the end of console gaming for them or extremely close to it.
They will live on through their handheld gaming products.
Zelda looks awesome but in general The switch is underwhelming as a console of 2017. Ninty gonna pull a Sega if they aint careful
