RE2 vs GOW2

I'd say that GOW2 will sell more, mainly because of the fan base, but it'll be close to see which one is better.

Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 on the same day ? Great thinking going on their then.

That sucks for people with both consoles, i want to play both but under no circumstances will i get them at the same time.

I'll probanly get Resistance 2 first because right now i'm preferring my PS3.

I was hoping that Resistance would be end of November, this would be about the first time that i'm not happy about a game making it's release date.

Lets put GW2 against LBP and tally up the sales after one full year. Not initial sells mind you...but after they have been on the market for a full year. Those are the two killer apps in my opinion and I'm sure LBP will sell double that of Gears. Mark my words N4G.

i wouldn't agree that the tom clancy game has the same hype/anticipation as gears2 or resistance2. mentioning LBP with these games (as far as hype/anticipation) would have made more sense.

but yea, gears2 and resistance2 anticipation is off the charts. but i don't think we have seen anything yet. wait until KZ2 and GOW3 get close to release.

r2 ftw just check out one of their weapons "the splicer". i saw a clip of it @ ign.com. man it was soo cool it cut limbs, heads and even drills on the chimera bodies.
r2 has it all... EPIC and BLOODY! what more can you ask for...

GoW over R2 for this year. I liked R1 but it wasn't a mind blowing fps in anyway. Gears just has a much more brutal viceral feel then R2. I think GoW will be the bigger seller by a pretty big margin.

of the three games, Endwar is the one that's going to be left on the back burner.

I have nothing against Endwar. But to come out with BOTH Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 is...well...

Anyway, if they have the balls to do that, they must think they have something special going with Endwar

Resistance 2 all the way. Gears won't even be played by me, let alone bought by me. I couldn't stand the 1st one. It's cluncky controls and stiff movemens made for a rather bland experience; this one will be no different I'm sure.

Well this should be a week were no body is on N4G but something tells me that a majority of people will be here because they don't even own a next gen console. Still though this will be the week that puts the movie industry to shame. Gears2 9 million Rfom2 6 million.

i have a crazy feeling LBP will out sell both these games

Gears 2 FTW..pre orders alone for this game will be bigger than R2 numbers.. R2 might be a rent for me down the road.R1 was really, really bad .just a generic shooter with nothing new to offer.Plain jane COD style weapons, controls, movement etc.and meh about the 60 man online lagathon..gameplay of gears is so much > than Resistance its on a totally different level..endwar might be competition for R2 but GEars2 in the same breath as R2?? c'mon

I want resistance for the co-op and gears for the multiplayer...I only have a ps3 and wii but gears2 looks good. I might get a new PC soon, so I will be ready for the better version of gears

It's pretty much a given the scores will be in favor of gears of war 2 or very close with either one edging out the other.

Personnaly after reading all of the reviews for previous titles on the market and ones that just came out.

I expect gamespot to give both of them 9.5's.

They gave Mass Effect PC 9.0, NHL 09 9.0, Crysis Warhead 9.0 and Rockband 2 a 8.5, Super Smash Bros Brawl a 9.5.

Good. Wasn't needed at that time. Let the power of the consoles get a few iterations down the line before remakes are done.

1 and 2 for sure 3 was ok Dom's death felt rushed to me. Judgement was meh 4 was ok and 5 I thought was boring.

4 & 5 had some bullshit practice’s for MP characters and skins.
Judgement was very casual.
2 had the best maps and good gameplay if it wasn’t laggy.
3 had okay maps (too open) but the gameplay was the best.
1 was solid all around.

My ranking :

1. Gears of War 2
2. Gears of War 3
3.Gears 5
4. Gears of War 1/ UE
5. Gears of War 4
6. Gears of War: Judgement

Judgement has the weakest campaign and multiplayer. Gears 5 would probably be ranked lower if it’s multiplayer didn’t mature well. The game improved significantly in terms of progression and content from launch overtime. While, Gears of War 1 was the most influential title of the series it hasn’t aged as well as it successors.
Gears of War 2 is number one for me due to its plot, introduction of horde and personal nostalgia, despite 3 being objectively better, in my opinion.

I Haven’t not played the spin-off titles, as they belong to genres that don’t interest me.

As an aside: I waiting for my EARNABLE or FREE COG still Spartans to be added to Halo Infinite. Spartans Emile and Kait were in Gears 5 mp, so 343i should reciprocate the Coalitions cross-over.

1,2,3,5,4 and Judgement for me. The first game is hard to beat imo.

Based only on the campaign. 2 was almost perfect; 1 (as a start for the franchise) was amazing too. 3 had some issues, but mostly very enjoyable. Judgement tried to move some stuff around but mostly stayed with the same crew and very basic story. 5 and 4 (campaign-vise) were pretty bad, didn't feel like they were important for the Sera as a whole (maybe that's how it felt to me).
