One thing people aren't saying is Nintendo consoles really hold their value in the resell market. This console is so unique in Nintendo's history that you will probably get more selling it years down the road than you paid for it. And the games being on carts will retain their value because they will hold up big time.

that is true. but for me I don't buy something with selling it later in mind. I buy stuff to keep it... maybe give it away to a younger generation after I have moved on from it.
