You guys don't skip a beat with all these Nintendoomed articles, do ya

CrimsonPheonix3394d ago

Don't let posts like this sway you, it's just reactionary clickbait from bloggers that want attention.

Genuine-User3394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

It certainly put me off from a day one purchase. I'm going to wait a few months before I decide if it's worth the £280.

I can't see myself paying £340 for the console and Zelda.

-Foxtrot3394d ago

Nintendo messed up...what do you expect

Sony and MS get their fair share aswell

corroios3394d ago

Damn! Stop! Too soon. The switch its a portable and will sell tons, at least on Japan.

Chaos_Order3394d ago

Yeah, but it's not very portable... Compare it to the 3DS, a system you can literally fit in your pocket. Heck, some people even think the Vita is a little too bulky. The Switch is absolutely massive. As a handheld fanatic, this turns me right off.

Summons753394d ago

Doom the Switch from being bad...the System looks fantastic. The line up for this year alone is going to slay.

Summons753394d ago

Well since you are blind.

Zelda, SMT, No More Heroes, Mario, Fire Emblem Warriors, Octopath, Splatoon 2, Zenoblade 2, Bomberman, Arms, the entre sizzle real of third party titles and a few first party ones like Mario Kart 8, Skyrim. 12+ First year alone and we haven't even hit E3. But please continue to be blissfully ignorant.

_-EDMIX-_3394d ago

@summon- OHHHH largely the same type of games that didn't sell the Wii U?

I see...

Wallstreet373394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

Summons....

No disrespect but no matter would have been shown we knew for you it'd look fantastic just like it looks fantastics to other die hards like Wonderful (no disrespect you either).

The presentation, the system, the lineup and price all look abysmal to me. It will be a weaker home console than Xbox one which is like four years old. Shouldn't have been priced more than 200 or 250 the most. Free snes/nes ganes for online sounds like a twisted joke. The handheld hybrid won't save it. No interesting new IPS. Its Wiiu all over again.

Summons753394d ago

The presentation go to the point and clearly, sorry one translator was bad. The price we knew was going to be around 300 and you clearly shouldn't be in the article if you think any of that line up was bad, sorry that didn't have COD give you a reach around but they wanted to show off games.

Wallstreet373394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

No I prefer games like Ninokuni, Bloodborne, etc... Not regurgitated IPS and ports. I usually skip COD but thanks for making an asanine comment just because we see this reveal for what it is. Now go play your cutsy games on your underpowered hardware :) Press A to jump lol

Your blind fanaticism will take you very far.

No you were just taught to assume everyone that doesn't have your tastes (which are many) are COD dude bros lol You were served and made an %ss of :) Now mr Nintendo nerd is calling me an emo lol and I'm from the urban jungles of NYC far from emo lol

Summons753394d ago

fanaticism lol Sorry I'm not a bitter child who hates everyone and everything and was taught to be positive and enjoy the world around me but thanks I WILL enjoy video games on all the systems I own. Go back to enjoying the emo world you live in.

I have to agree and that's sort of what I've been afraid of because I had a theory that it was likely this platform was going to receive a lot of the support from the Japanese companies that support of their previous handhelds so many of my guesses are correct that they would release a shin Megami tensei like they released him Megami tensei 4 for the 3DS and that Square Enix would make a Bravely Default but instead they're making another RPG sort of in the same vein but it is very clear that the platform is getting lots of the same type of support that the Wii U and 3DS got it in my opinion that's actually it is very bad sign.

As the Press event went on I began to worry even more and more as all I kept seeing we're very Niche Japanese companies announcing stuff like Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 and I just felt as the press event went on a begin to worry even more in more as all I can't seeing where very much Japanese companies announcing stuff like dragon Quest heroes 1 and 2 and I just felt that they already understand its not going to be something there going to put their ace games on.

Electronic Arts simply announcing FIFA and nothing more was enough to solidify that the company is playing away and see which might actually officially mean that they didn't like what they saw from the hardware and are releasing only a single title this might be enough to confirm that this platform might suffer the same fate as the Wii u so it's definitely going to be questionable about how this is going to play out for Nintendo

I'm sorry but I just don't believe that FIFA Dragon Quest hero ports along with that obscure Square Enix RPG are going to save that platform and I don't think something like an old game like Skyrim means anything in way of support because it's so pathetic and sad was Skyrim was a remaster last year that got some attention but I'm pretty positive it wasn't stopping all gamers in their tracks for anyone to be amazed at Skyrim releasing on a platform must seriously be in serious disillusion.

You know what real trust is? Mass Effect Andromeda, Fallout 4 ,Dishonored 2, Final Fantasy 15 etc.

The fact that these companies are bringing out one title and some smaller titles at that are showing that they don't even feel the platform is worth the investment.

Also don't waste your time trying to over-analyze crap to pretend as if maybe something just went wrong and that things are going to get better cuz that's the same sad pathetic tune the majority of Nintendos gullible install base believed about the 3DS and the Wii u and looked exactly how those disasters turned out.

When a platform is launching in a huge company like Electronic Arts simply announces one game at your reveal...it is very apparent something is definitely wrong.

So no Resident Evil no Mass Effect no Call of Duty no Battlefield no Final Fantasy.

So officially a Wii u repeat?

Am I missing something here? Was there seriously a better time to announce a slew of Triple-A games?

Scatpants3394d ago

All the video they showed looked even weaker than WiiU

lol
SMT5 has *just* begun development, and it is multiplatform. the 'entre sizzle'? You mean all those 2+ year old ports?

Summons753394d ago

Steep and DBX Xenoverse 2 came out 2 years ago? My how time flies...oh wait steep was barely 2 months ago and DBZ barely 6 months ago. Nice try troll.

Elda3394d ago (Edited 3394d ago )

No shade...it seems a lot of folks aren't buying into the hype, including myself.Nice machine for what it does but far as games it's for Nintendo diehards.

Featuring_Dante3394d ago

nice cherrypicking. Lets see the terrible list of 3rd parties that are at least 1 year old:
skyrim (lol, this is a 5 year old game, and its not even the special edition
dragon quest heroes (released on feb 2015)
disgaea 5 (march 2015)
romance of the three kingdoms (jan 2016)
i am setsuna (feb 2016)
and the worst of all, SF2, came out 26 years ago!
not to mention the ports from the dumpster fire console, the wiiu.

ABizzel13394d ago

Why you do SF2 like that, LOL

Scatpants3394d ago

Lineup looked insanely bad other than Xenoblade and Zelda. Even the Mario game looked bad.

PGRfox3394d ago

Yes I think it has. The first year it will sell great, but ultimately won't hold up.

bamillington3394d ago

i actually like the look of the swich though i have to wait for a price drop. next year maybe

Featuring_Dante3394d ago

are you still waiting for a price drop for the wiiu?

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio18h ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing16h ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9217h ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit17h ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing16h ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9215h ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
