All they'd have to do is increase the native rendering resolution. The amount of effort required to do that when it's a game already available on PC that allows for higher resolutions would be next to nothing....

They can't unlock the other half of the GPU and add some anti-aliasing or something? I mean, this game isn't really known for it's graphics, but there's so much aliasing (especially in the underwater arena) that I want to gouge my eyes out. However, it's still a very fun game and I'll play it regardless... but I still think it wouldn't take much work to up the res or antialiasing or something.

I hope you're both right. I just don't get the impression that they have the man hours for it, even if it's straightforward.

I missed the PS+ freebie and saw how great the game looked and played. My friend had the game on his PS4 and I loved playing crazy splitscreen Rocket League matches weekly at his house, then I saw the Collectors Edition with the extra DLC (except the Batmobile and the DeLorean) for a good price and bought the game, got the plat in 2 weeks and am still playing regularly (get thrashed in Ranked matches though, those guys are insanely good at the game). Psyonix are still supporting the game with added arenas and game modes.

But supposedly that is coming already...
