Stardew Valley made way more money than Call of Duty on Steam, and other 2016 sales insights

"Steam sales soothsayer Sergey Galyonkin, otherwise known as the creator of Steam Spy, has released a report on sales of games on Steam in 2016. Alongside Valve's own official ranking of the best-selling PC games of 2016, Galyonkin's graphs and figures provide a more granular picture of how the estimated sales of specific games might compare to one another. It also reinforces something we already knew: 2016 was an insane year for strategy games." - PC Gamer

And that's good. I wonder who are fueling the COD train right now. It wasn't even in the top 25 most sold on Steam. And nice tactic btw Activision. Nice money making tactic putting MW remaster and yet no one bought it lol.

Well why compare it to CoD on steam... Knowing damn well CoD don't sell on pc

While I don't know how this plays on PC...I don't understand how anyone could enjoy it on consoles. The game is bland and the controls are even worse.

EDIT-And I hate C.O.D., so don't think I am just a fanboy trolling, lol

Still doesn’t appear to exist at all on the UK store even when accessing directly from Switch 2.

Just bought it, in order to see whether you can upgrade in-game but nothing at all.

Is this being anti consumer? Come on let's hear it.

Not really sure. Apparently it is still download-able on the vita so im not sure what this actually means. Its only applicable to PS+ Essential version of it too so I bought it and i dont know if this applies to me at all.

I just checked and the version i own says im still entitled to both versions so I guess its just the PS+ version that is PS4 only now. If you bought it you still get both versions.

"However, Sony now seems to be revoking that digital ownership and reclassifying the game as subscription-only access. In other words, the license is now tied strictly to an active PS Plus membership rather than being treated as a permanent digital purchase."

So it now works exactly as it is supposed to work. All monthly games redeemed from PS Plus Essential are subscription-only access.

I've not been able to download it on my vita for over a year now, perfectly fine on my PS4 and PS5
