couldn't care less what telltale does. their approach is a little bit too generic for my personal taste as a gamer.

Mikefizzled3435d ago

No and it disappoints me to no end. They keep getting the chance to work on these world renowned IP like Batman and Marvel. Can't see them going back to something like Fables.

bluefox7553435d ago

Unlikely. Would be cool though, also Tales From the Borderlands, which I had hopes for based on the ending.

Fist4achin3435d ago

I thought the Wolf Among Us was great. I would love to see more.

Guess we'll see soon enough when they tell us.

ajax171633d ago

Thanks for breaking that down, lol

Knightofelemia1634d ago

I honestly thought Telltales went belly up and were not around anymore. I love the Wolf Among Us can't wait for the sequel I hope they have Tales from the Borderlands 2 in their pipeline as well I love that game as well.

Profchaos1634d ago (Edited 1634d ago )

Same I could of sworn they didn't make enough money back from a few of their licensed games to cover the cost of development and licensing

Quick Google shows .Telltale Games filed for assignment in October 2018. Many assets were later acquired by LCG Entertainment, which revived the Telltale Games name as part of its business in August 2019, retaining many of the company's previous licenses and offering former staff freelance positions.

So I have no idea if the original Devs and such are still involved

execution171633d ago

Probably because they just kept on pumping out game after game

ActualWhiteMan1633d ago

They paid out the ass in licensing fees. GOT, Walking Dead, DC Comics, Marvel, etc.

That’s likely what killed them.

Michiel19891633d ago

@actualwhiteman At the time when they were in the gutter it was revealed why they went down, i dont think it was licenes but rather pispoor management.

What about that announced Spider-Man game?

TorpeAlex1633d ago

Pretty sure you're imagining things or fell victim to fanon- Telltale never took on a Spider-Man project to my knowledge.

Puty1631d ago (Edited 1631d ago )

Oh. If you say so, then i stand corrected.
Oh wait ...

TorpeAlex1630d ago

That’s a trailer for what became the Guardians of the Galaxy game

sourOG1633d ago

Easily their best game. I bought the first couple comics because of it.

Dirty_Lemons1633d ago

One of the rare times when the comics couldn't actually match up to the quality of the game in my opinion.

sourOG1632d ago

I liked it but I was definitely looking at it through the eyes of the game lol. Like when you watch the movie before you read the book.

Itching for a good story? Try these narrative-driven games

Games have enormous untapped potential to tell new and compelling stories through interactivity. You won’t be stuck in a long, drawn-out cutscene in these games. These stories are told through player interaction.

Let me know when The Wolf Among Us Season 2 comes out. Till then, meh.

Tross2151d ago

The first (or I guess only) season is still very much recommended, as are the comics that I only have four deluxe editions of so far. But, yeah. A season 2 would be amazing.

gamefreaks3652151d ago

The Wolf Among Us 2 was teased at The Game Awards last December. Haven't heard anything since though.

Not having Fiona in BL3 was criminal IMO. Only one line where she's even referenced, and a picture on a desk, but they didn't even give her a part.:*(

One of my favorite characters of all time, and instead of even a cameo, we get a bunch of jokes about Rhys' mustache.

Oh well. Maybe in some DLC. The reference to her was that Rhys was looking for her. Still haven't played the season pass post content DLC yet.

Bismarn2151d ago

No thanks, Forza's enough for me

Sunny123452151d ago

as good as indie stories are, i prefer the aaa titles.

HankHill2151d ago

The only game he plays is TLOU2.

MadLad2151d ago

He's the sort of guy who only appreciates something that has Sony on the box. Just check his comments.
If Playstation starts really pushing indie development though, his tune will change.
