‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’: Ninja Theory Back on Track

Goomba Stomp: "If you’ve been a little too absorbed in your gaming to the point that you haven’t had time to look up and watch the news – try not to hyperventilate – Ninja Theory is finally making a new game, and it looks bloody breath-taking! They’ve even been so kind as to allow us to peek into every step of the game’s production through a blog chronicling Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’s development."

I believe this is the game about depression and anxiety. Should be pretty cool!

psychosis and PTSD as well

It's still very difficult to imagine what the actual gameplay is like, though

But if it focuses on those subjects, I'd rather have it be a very narrative-oriented game than an action game with cutscenes that seem completely disconnected from one another

look up their developer diaries, alot of use through symbolism and and sounds

I know this is a pretty.. picky? thing to mention about the game (being a game i know) but the main character's body type for a female warrior of Celtic/Norse influence really confuses me, she looks far too slight, i expected more mass and muscle definition really.

^ Thats probably because of the motion capture they are using for her,

Really interested in this game just don't know if it's really gonna hit 2017

All their games look breath taking to this point too bad they dont get the proper marketing... even this one is not getting much hype

Goldby3425d ago

they are self publishing it, and doiugn their own media marketing through developer diaries

Minus Epic and a few other companies assisting with the tech side. Ninja Theory is developing and publishing this game all on their own. no $$ from sony or any other company

Interesting ... hope it works out for them

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Review | What's It Like In 2024?

Admittedly, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is far from perfect and won't be a game for everyone, but now with a multitude of accessibility options it has made itself much more palatable for a wider audience, and with constant sale prices between $2-$4, Hellblade: Senua's Saga is too good to pass up for a unique experience that has stood the test of time and will do so once more with its even more robust and epic sequel.

The only thing epic about this “game” is how longnit took to make.

The Hellblade games looked nice but they were essentially walking simulators with a minimal amount of combat tracked on.

willykyu286d ago

At long last, it’s about time they upgraded it !
I didn’t like hellblade 2 at all, which lost all its mystery and originality in this graphically superb but extremely boring sequel. But I loved the first one. And I was pretty annoyed it was stuck on ps4 version on ps5. Bugs and didn’t run that well.
Now I’m going to play it all over again !!! In its nicest version on PlayStation.
