I don't really get all the hype for the "new XBOX experience", it's nothing new. It's a new interface (wow?), avatars (ok?), 8 person "party"... And netflix? So, if you don't usually buy stuff on Live, then it really makes no difference to you apart from those goofy avatars and the "party".

The only thing going for Microsoft right now is its ability to cut prices on cheap hardware.

This Sirius Radio is a nice add features. Xbox 360 is starting to look more appealing right in time for the holidays.

Hook up with Apple and integrate Itunes into the PSN network. Also integrate Pandora, Myspace and Facebook apps into the XMB like folding@home. They need to be complete small apps like the ones on the Iphone. Make them free...and the Xbox 360 can not even touch this.

Face it, the 360 is trying to be just as much a media hub as the PS3 is. Having Netflix and Sirius is cool, but if the PS3 gets Hulu, I'd be happy as hell. No extra fees for PSN and no fees for Hulu as opposed to fees + fees. Good movies and TV shows on Hulu also. Step to it, Sony and Hulu.

While i Can't wait to have the new xbox experience, I can't help but notice all the hypocrisy. Wasn't it MS and MS fanboys who were taking jabs at Blu Ray and all of PS3's features because the system was supposed to be for gaming? Yet MS has been doing everything but focusing on games lately.

Do you have to pay for this Sirius station? I'm sorry I don'y actually know, just an impression I'm getting from some of the comments so you'll forgive me if I'm wrong (can't be bothered looking it up either btw)

It's a nice feature but not something I'd pay for if I were a 360 owner and I wouldn't pay for it if it were a PSN service either. Besides, PS3 has a free online music streaming service coming I believe. If MS are charging for this then it's just another example of ways to milk the consumer, but I guess there is absolutely nothing wrong with that if you are happy to pay for the service, at least in the eyes of someone happy enough to pay for it.

All I can say is, Sirius is streamed free with Direct TV service. Perhaps this could be a free service with live as well? I don't see myself paying extra for it as I have xm radio as it is.

To be able to listen to sirius would make any game on 360 that much more enjoyable. this combined with custom soundtracks puts MS far ahead of the competition.

Dont people realize by downloading the software PlayOn PS3 users can also stream their netflix and satelite radio services to their PS3. The software cost $30.00 and the developers had the PS3 in mind when they created it. This Netflix thing is not that big. Remember the PS3 was created as a game console first and then a close second as a media center, so it is already capable of doing this. Sony is just not paying companies to promote this. They are just developing games.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.
