Armored Core 4 Preview

Over the years, From Software's Armored Core games have gathered a cult following. Loyal players snagged each new release and dove into mech customization, eager to take their creations into battle against a variety of opponents. The series was met with moderate success both in the US and overseas, but now Sega appears ready to give it an extra push. Armored Core 4 will arrive for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this March. It will bring destructive robot action for online and offline play, as well as a new approach that could draw in more mainstream gamers.

never played this series of games before, are they any good/fun? I hope the gameplay and story are equal to the customization options.

believe Phantom Crash 2 ( not its real name ) is available for the PS2? How about PC 360, that'd be grand.

custimization, AC is the best giant mech series out there. Sadly, the stories are always the same, controls are absolutely frustrating, multiplayers sucks, frequent slowdown in framerate, ... there's just a lot wrong. However, I'm a giant mech fan and I continuely buy the series just because I do have fun with it, but if you're not really into the genre, this game will only make you hate it. I'm hoping that AC4 really proves me wrong though. Please let this game be what every AC game should be, good.

Top 10 FromSoftware Bosses

Bit Cultures writes: "FromSoftware games are known for being extremely difficult. Games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne are punishing and made me want to hurl my controller against the wall more than once. So why bother playing them? Simply put, From Software games have the greatest bosses in any video game. Period. From their design, to their lore, to the degree of difficulty, no game does as good a job at creating such unique, terrifying, and eventually joyous experiences. It wasn’t easy to narrow down, but here are our Top 10 FromSoftware bosses."

Where the heck is Gehrman? That should be at least in top 3.

My top Five...

5- Artorias
4- Gywn

2- False King Allant
1- Gehrman

When the last boss transforms into another beast I was like are you kiddin me.

DarkOcelet3698d ago

I assume you are talking about Ornestein and Smough, yeah. All hell breaks loose when that happens.

It was one of the best Boss fights in history. Dark Souls is a God damn Masterpiece.

UltraNova3698d ago (Edited 3698d ago )

1. Ornestein and Smough - King Vendrick, NO Giants Souls.
2. False King Allant
3. Artorias
4. Black Dragon Kalameet.
5. Manus

ShadowKnight3698d ago

Yup and the last boss in Bloodborne was difficult for me too. Eventually beat him though

Jughead34163698d ago

1. Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
2. Ornestein & Smough
3. Queen Qaalag
4. Gehrman
5. Gravelord Nito

I think you can almost randomly select your favorite bosses. Almost all of them are epic, along with the journey to get to them. Finally unlocking the shortcuts to them, or finding a nearby bonfire was almost as satisfying as beating them.
