Why Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Needs The X-Men from Day 1

Actually NONE of the Fantastic Four have ever appeared in any of the Capcom fighting games. Dr. Doom has been i them, but he's not exactly a F4 only villain. He's more of a Marvel villain as he has fought damn near everyone multiple times.

The only other F4 related characters to appear in these games are Galactus and Super Skrull, both of which didn't show up until MvC3 and one wasn't even a playable character.

So no, the F4 haven't been a part of this series at all, really.

Don't forget She-Hulk. She had a few gigs with the F4 as well. So did Spider-Man on occasion. Remember when Johny Storm was thought to be dead?

He never said the actual F4 have always been a part of MvC. He said characters FROM X-Men and Fantastic Four.

Fair enough. But even though She-Hulk and Spidey helped fill a place on the team temporarily to help them out, I still would not consider them F4 characters. Spidey was rolling with the X-Men for a while too, but I wouldn't consider him an X-Men character either.

And lets not forget when Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, and Hulk were running around calling themselves the New Fantastic Four. Again, I wouldn't consider any of them F4 characters.

I'm thinking more along the lines of mainstay characters within thier little corner of the Marvel U.

Doom is, by rights, Fantastic Four. If FOX is smart and cares about fans, they'd let go of the license they clearly cannot make good use of and allow us to get a bloody Doom War movie made by MCU.

Point being, though only Doom and Super Skrull have appeared, you have to fight FOX for the Fantastic Four to get a hold of them as well as Doom (if they're committed to using the cinema universe as a basis for the game).

They only have to fight Fox for the movie rights. Marvel can put any characters in their game they want. At the end of the day Marvel still owns all of the characters. Its only the movie rights that they sold to Fox.

Just because Dr. Doom terrorizes the Marvel universe a lot doesn't make him not a Fantastic Four character. He'll always be predominantly a F4 at the end of the day.

Theyll be dlc, mark my words on this. Its like sf5, how many times can a person buy akuma as a separate character? He should just be in the game already. Unlockable like back in the days

And it needs to not be horribly broken with infinite combo loops and wacky off scale character balances like MVC3.

More than anything, THIS.

As long as they finally include Daredevil and Punisher (and there is a very good chance of that), then I can almost live without the X-Men. But what I can't live with is the a repeat of MvC3. What a joke.

Expect every main character from MCU to be in the game. GOTG might not have every member but Considering Groot's popularity i would say hes a given.

Could be like Phoenix in Marvel vs Capcom 3, get the max special bars lose all Groot's health then become Baby Groot, like how Phoenix turned into Dark Phoenix

If Ant-Man is playable I'm sure he would only shrink during special moves and super attacks. I doubt they would let you shrink down to an ant size and fight the match like that. No one would be able to hit him lol
