this game looks very early in development

Everytime something great happens there's gotta be an article asking a stupid question

I mean, after SFV it's really easy to suspect Capcom would do that - *starting* it too late, not releasing it too soon - we have no idea when they started work on this thing, we just have a release date. My guess is that Capcom did not have an entire MvC team that started on this after 3, it was probably all hands on deck for SFV, so "five years" is not a given.

All that said, this had better not be another rolling release the way SFV was - the large roster was the draw in MvC2, and when they didn't have that roster until the second iteration of MvC3, they lost a lot of consumer clout, despite it doing very well in the eSports world. Yes, keep *adding* characters. No, do not come out with twelve characters and no single-player content unless you want to charge, like, fifteen bucks for it and then release it Hitman-style in reasonably-priced chunks.

...honestly, the "infinite" subtitle might play into the Hitman-esque scheme along with the obvious comic reference. Hmm.
