PSVR Is The Only Way You Should Experience Resident Evil 7

As soon as I saw the lady on stage at PSX announce that the Beginning Hour demo was getting an update to add PSVR support I began downloading the patch. As a PSVR owner I’ve been keeping a close eye on RE7, sure I’ve been enjoying RIGS, Batman and The London Heist’s shooting ranges but …

KingKelloggTheWH3329d ago

Man...RE7 is really making me want VR. Nothing else really had except it.

generic-user-name3329d ago

I'm so glad Capcom decided to add it in. I don't think I could go back to playing it on just a TV, unless it gets too scary, which it might.

Babadook73328d ago

I agree with this. If you want to feel the emotions of the character - absolutely. However playing it on tv has advantages too. If I wanted to speed run or get trophies perhaps I would actually play on my 4K. But for my main story based play through it will be vr.

blady_man3328d ago

You should get one, i have it since luch but didnt play much with it since most of the vr games at the mo feel lik tech demos, but man playing RE7 in Vr is something totally different, the scale of the rooms, be able to peak at corners like u were the and the immersion it brings its something that totally justified my purchase, and still only talking about the demo, imagine when we get tge full game!! I ll be scared all the way but at least with a smile on my face lol

Bebob3328d ago

Its FREAKING AWESOME! Its the best thing i played in a long long time!! This proves that VR is here to stay.

I played the Beginning Hour with VR, and OMG it is amazing.

generic-user-name3329d ago (Edited 3329d ago )

I feel like if everybody tried this, a lot more people would believe that VR is the future.

PhoenixUp3328d ago

Not when you want to play for a long period of time

generic-user-name3328d ago

Why not? PSVR is pretty comfortable.

1Victor3328d ago

@generic user name That's the problem for me whenever I play in my PSVR 4/6 hours have passed me by and end up going to sleep late to go to work 😍

Goldby3328d ago

@1Victor,

Do what i do, i have my phone on 1hr increments for the timer, and have it set for vibrate, every hour it vibrates a specific rhythm and i know what time it is

PhoenixUp3328d ago

Not everybody can play VR for long periods of time without health concerns

S2Killinit3328d ago (Edited 3328d ago )

Trust me that's grossly exaggerated. As long as you take it easy at first you will get used to VR.

generic-user-name3328d ago

I guess, but they're sure a minority. Plus the more you play over time, the more you adjust to it.

PhoenixUp3328d ago

There will still be people with those issues . Besides I'm certain people will manage since the majority of people who will play RE7 won't do it with VR

generic-user-name3328d ago

Sure, but some people have issues just playing FPS games on standard TVs and we don't focus on that, all I can do is share my experience.

Of course the majority of people will not be using PSVR, it only released a few weeks ago after all. I'm just saying, I believe this is the best way to play it, by a long shot, and if you're someone on the fence about getting one, RE7 is the best reason to jump on board so far.

MRMagoo1233328d ago

not everybody can play video games for long periods of time without health concerns .......I don't see your point

jaymacx3328d ago

@below just because you never had issues there will be those that will .. maybe even cause seizures. Just like prolonged smart phone usage ( causes eye strain).

You don't have VR and are going by what you think is the truth. I play Driveclub VR and Rigs for hours without stopping, while Twitch streaming.

I really hope this gets a PC release, so I can play on the Rift.

FriedGoat3328d ago

you can play it on the rift in a year.

Magnetar3328d ago

Really, has that been confirmed? I'll wait if i have to.

FriedGoat3328d ago

No actually I was thinking of another game, I think it has PC VR support straight away!

FriedGoat3328d ago

Actually it was this game, Sorry it's a year wait for you.

It will come. I just think it will be after code Veronica, and zero. Maybe in line with when RE 10 releases…

gold_drake284d ago

do we really need another remake?

the one that got re released for the ps4 and xbox looks amazing.

-Foxtrot284d ago

It's been 23 years, by the time this could come out we'd be nearing 25. If it's done in the same style as the RE2, 3 & 4 Remake then yeah, I'd happily take another remake.

It gets to tie together RE0 and RE1 better while adding onto the mansion to give us new areas to visit or enemies to face.

coolbeans284d ago

Part of me always wishes the "OG" Resident Evil Remake would remain the only one. Then again, can't deny the financial incentive.
