Fable 2 is oging to be amazing even with "low" spots. Hell, GTA4 was a low spot and it was still well recived by you morons. Fable2 is going to kill anything on the Ps3 this year. It is my go to game and probably the 1 game I was really looking forward to all year. Maybe cos it is offering up, you know... something other than shooting someone in 1st person or nano armor and cheap, generic, characters forged in a war setting.

Fable 2 cripples anything coming for the Ps3 and xbox 360 and wii combined. Gears of war 2, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, nothing can match it.

I guess the 360 is really becoming a last-gen machine, then.

I expect Fable 2 to be the RPG that brings satisfaction. Untill other RPG's like Star Ocean 4, WKC, and FF13 drop. What ive seen of it looks good to me. Im not as excited for it as I am for an FF release but its up there.

The first was good but like he said flawed. I think I know what he means by low spots and I think its not always easy for a dev to build that excitement and keep that momentous epic feeling going through out your entire experience of the game. Few games achieve that.

It takes masterfull story telling and a game built to unravel itself over time just right so that your always content with your gameplay at any given moment while playing. Keep the player on his/her toes and eager to explore.

big whoop. hes worked hard on it, he can have an opinion. he believes he's created something memorable and worthwhile, well good on him for having a pop at it.

some gaming fans are just so hypocritical. you piss and moan at every yearly update with EA, you fly off when one of your beloved system exclusive games is slated as been mediocre, and here someone is, with the sheer audacity to attempt to make something abit different within the RPG genre, and all you can do is call the guy arrogant for believing in his own product!

if your buying fable for lip syncing tech, then you obviously dont quite 'get' the idea of the game. oblivions lipsyncing was pretty much the worst next gen attempt so far, and look at how that game turned out.

so far, those who have played it have been very impessed. fable, for all its let downs, as a tremendously fun (if not quite epic) game, that yes, dissapointed in many ways. he sounds confident hes put some of that damage right now though, can we not just wait until its out before we start calling the guy arrogant. if you cant have confidence in your own game, that what can you do, eh

Im glad he can nock his game, too many devs talk their stuff up and it either turns out great/good but not amazing! he learned this with Fable 1... more devs should take a hint from this admission by Peter. Lots of Devs talk all this "big" talk, when in all actuality they could use a few viagra!

Edit = I also see Sony Fanboys in here blabbing off on Too Human when they don't own a 360 or have likely not played it even at a friends house. They can't forget about Too Human, I didn't forget about Haze!

I'm betting on it getting some pretty heralding commendations! It's been shaping up to be one pretty good looking game (graphics are astounding). I just hope combat really got fine tuned (I played Lost Chapters on PC w mouse and keyboard). Anyways, I'm sure it's be magically lifting wallets, come this October.

Even if Molyneux never delivers on like 75% of what he promises in his games, the outcome is usually an enjoyable experience. Fable was not what he promised, but it was still a good game. I already have Fable 2 pre-ordered, can't wait.

Can't wait for this game, will be buying a 360 for this the day it comes out :D Co-op online with friends will be great no doubt. Dam, this is a great year for games, shame a lot of people on this site are too narrow minded to enjoy some of them by alligning themselves to and supporting a facless company only looking to rob your wallet of all its belongings.

He's just being honest probably, even tho he wasn't in the past. Like Pirate said, Fable 1 was still a good game and this one's shaping up to be far superior. U can't compare this 2 Too Human or Dyack cos that's just a poor game that look 10 years to make. This took a normal amount and according to hands-on impressions is looking very promising unlike the Too Human impressions which predicted it would be as bull as it was.

he may be nitpicking...but saying "its no ones fault" (dugh who made the game) is another stupid comment from PM, who at least has learnt not to ramble on as much as he did with Fable 1

He knows his game has faults, and he's openly admitting them. While it smells like a little arrogance on his part, I think it's refreshing that a guy as vocal about his pride and joy isn't making it out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Maybe he's just trying to be modest. Honestly, you're probably all taking it the wrong way. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

He definitely appears to be doing some back-peddling this time. I have no doubt that Fable 2 will sell very well, and I expect to enjoy it quite a bit. Despite it's flaws, and the fact that it was way over-sold, Fable was an entertaining game.

It's biggest competition this time around comes in the form of a number of holiday release games Molyneux mentions, such as Gears of War 2, Fallout, and a number of other highly anticipated titles.

It's a good fall/winter to be a gamer.

Not game is perfect and he's just saying there are thing he can improve on.

Im glad he did this... The last blog/interview i read about Peter M. was him saying this game is great and will be nothing less than 9/10.. I never played the first fable and probably don't plan on playing this one but i would rather hear him say it s not the second coming of Christ than him saying how it is and turn out to be a flop.

Its called being confident in your work. Hes not a nut case that believes hes god. Its just a psychological move to help him feel confident in his own decisions. The only way to bring innovation is to bring what you feel to the table instead of just everyone elses. When you do that you have to have confidence in yourself.

When you try to innovate it may crash on you sometimes because things tend to steer alot. Peter is no where near a god but I like his work. Fable was as awesome to me as it was to majority of the people who I speak to. I look at Fable 2 and see its kept its atmosphere and I'am confident that I will enjoy Fable 2 as much or more as Fable.

Everyone has there own since of incredible, so I dont look for incredible... I look for FUN and DIFFERENT. We are gamers not critics we have are own list of standards to meet. If you agree give a bubble.

all games have low spots, with Oblivion the main quest was one very long low spot but the side quests and guilds made up for it. Ultimately Fable II is going to be a great game that will be better than the original in every regard, also it's a game that many people (including me) are going to enjoy for a long time.

P.S Online Co-op is going to be sweet.

I'm tellin you, two weeks of LBP and it'll get boring unless you have a fetish for sack dolls and floaty things. Though LBP is a first of its kind and I could be wrong. I gotta give credit to the innovation. Fable 2 on the other hand has a good rep from the first one, and while Fable was missing a lot that shoulda been there, Fable 2 will compensate for that. I think Fable 2 is going to be a great game. I really enjoyed Fable on the Xbox even through its issues. Even though my brother will get it he is probably going to hold the 360 with him at school. This is a game I would have wanted on the PS3 actually. I mean Fable is no KOTOR but its a helluva good game. Peter Molyneux seems like a really humble developer (reminds me of Hideo). Cheers

Im pretty sure it was him, and in the interview hes going like: no i have never overhyped the game,not once.

On the other hand those mistakes he is talking about seem more like the hardware cant keep up with the software kind of deal(i mean the mistake he is refering is--> you start hearing a conversation and then after a second the character reacts, just like in video files when your computer cant keep with maximum def).

Remember when Xbox was exciting.
Mass effect, Crackdown, bioshock, gta iv DLC, halo and gears when it was fresh.

Not all first party but some beach hitters as exclusives. I remember it was the only gen I didn't buy a Sony console first since the PS1 since I both couldn't afford it and the games looked and ran worse because devs didn't have a trip on the cell.

PS3 eventually became my preferred console that gen with infamous being my favourite game of the gen and the 360 making it clear core gamers were no longer a priority while don matrick tried to appease the Wii crowd to come play on Xbox instead of the Wii and eventually smartphones.

But man that first 3 to 4 years or so was magical for the 360.
