The first Dead Rising is celebrated and despised in equal measure for its campaign timer, whereby certain events play out independently of the player over the course of the story.

Daily Video Game writes: "Today, Xbox Store has just kicked off three new digital game sales for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One gamers that offer steep discounts on Achievement Hunter and action RPG games, as well as games for those with a $20 budget."

Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.

The Humble Capcom Mega Bundle is out now. It features Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Resident Evil HD, Dead Rising 4, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1, and more.
They can defend it all they want but if the people spending money on the product aren't happy then that translates as a no sale... which means it's a flop.
As much as i hate time limits and escort missions, i have to agree with the angry fans. I personally don't like the Dead Rising series for those reasons, but those mechanics made Dead Rising unique.
Removing food was f-ing stupid though.
With the omission of time, mixing food, quirky mission designs (example: finding a rudimentary Japanese book to save Japanese students) even T.J as the voice actor, it's not looking good. I was especially upset when Joe Nicholls said that they are getting rid of the replayability of the game which was one of it's main selling point. I loved that you could quit and restart but keep the experience and techniques you earned in the previous playthrough in order for a better run against time.
You know you're in trouble when you're defending something that you haven't even released yet...
Just finishing playing all parts of Dead Rising 2 and DR 3, played DR1 back in the day but didn't get the proper ending so I'll be playing that next
