I haven't updated my card in the last several driver releases, just too scared they will bonk my old original titan. I have a crazy suspicion they bonked my old 580 a long time ago.

SunnyZ3489d ago

Yeah, neither.
Nvidia have turned into assholes when it comes to driver updates now days.

You use to be able to get all latest driver downloads from their website: http://www.nvidia.com/Downl...

Then they decided, you know what, fuck our customers, we will force the geforce experience bloatware program on them and only deliver the latests drivers through that auto update service.

Now if you want the stand alone driver installer without the geforce experience crap forced in the install you need to wait...

I pay and arm and a leg for your hardware nvidia... This is how you treat your customers?

ATI/AMD just got an old client back, once my current card shits itself/I need an upgrade.

huh? the newest drivers are right there. And you dont have to install Geforce Experience if you really don't want to.

Haha something tells me someone is running with the myth that went viral months ago claiming GeForce experience was compulsory & that's how you got ur drivers.

Shame it has never been true. You get your drivers the same way you always have & GeForce experience has never been compulsory.

Why people go out of their way & spend their own time making up stories claiming to have things they don't. I will never understand until the day I die.

I don't trust the update either.

My idle temps increased 6 degrees after an update and hasn't gone back down.

My PC still has an occasional screen flickering problem going on even though they had supposedly fixed that. Seems to happen the most when running at 144hz but can happen at any rate, I change it to a different rate and it goes away for a while.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing39d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit39d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing39d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9239d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
