Worst "game" ever, even for free it's too expensive.

Well, it seems you do not like P&C adventures.

A lot of people feel that way. Personally I really enjoyed it, when they included it in PS+. I just thought it was interesting, sweet, sad, suspenseful(at times). It certainly didn't have much "gameplay." But I like what they did, for what it is.

@TWB Yeah, I've thought about how this could have easily been a short story, so I do not disagree with that. However, part of the enjoyment I found with Gone Home WAS the mystery of it all. Finding the story myself, made it engaging. I'm not sure a linear presentation of the events would have been nearly as compelling. Being in the house is part of it, though I think a short story version could have pulled that off, with a great writer.

I went in completely blind, thought it was a semi horror game based on the cover, went around 30 minutes expecting something to happen, but then realized it was, probably somewhat appropriately called, a "walking simulator" in a house, with a story.

To this day, I dont really see the point in making this story a game. I would have loved to listen it in a audio book or video format since I do think the story progression was good and they had nice amount of detail in the telling, but as a videogame it felt just waste to me.

I played this game because so many reviews said it was life changing. Personally at the end of the day it sounds like the California crowd of liberals love this game because of its big reveal. I thought the story was forced and as a love story it was probably one of the weakest ever told. A teenage lesbian tale is not really original or compelling. I learned all this within about one minute of just clicking on things because that's how stupid the game is that they literally keep the last area unlocked so I was at the end and was completely confused as the game pace was ruined by that. Replayed it and felt it was bad. They try to beat you in with fear like this is a hard game then they tried to speak to the Nostalgia crowd and then they throw the ending in your face like it's some Sundance Film Festival extravaganza. And I'll say this there are a lot of gay characters and stories in the world and the worst ones are always the ones that force it using stereotypes and pity. Worst walking simulator ever.

Overrated, but not bad game for its genre

Dont waste your time for a lesbian novel story ( Its not a game either that the joke )

Top 10 Walking Simulators on Xbox One

Dave writes: "If you’re a fan of walking simulators, then the name probably sticks in the throat, but let’s ‘own it’ and chuck the best and mightiest of the genre into a bear pit and let them have at it! Hoo-rah! As with most genre lists, there’s some controversy about what does or doesn’t constitute a walking simulator. Dialogue and navigation is preferred over puzzles and more intensive interaction like combat or QTEs. Jumping/crouching is positively frowned upon. Strap on your hiking boots and let’s ramble!"
