Virtual reality has long been hailed as the future of gaming. Is 2016 proves to be the year of VR, or we are not quite there yet?

Samsung Electronics today unveiled Galaxy XR, introducing a new category of AI-native devices designed to deliver immersive experiences in a form factor optimized for multimodal AI.

The VR Games Showcase has come and gone.
So much stuff has been announced and revealed. We get our first look at games like Grim, Hitman 3 VR, Vendetta Forever and much more.
Here is everything that was announced.

Laundry, cleaning and classic arcade games all in glorious virtual reality
The potential is there for sure, but developers will only continue to support it if it sells, and gamers will only buy if the games are compelling.
It could go either way right now. The more expensive headsets are not selling very well and its too early to tell if the cheaper PSVR is going to have a big enough install base for VR to really take off. I reckon if things die down too much VR will go away again for 5 or 10 years and then make another comeback when it can be fully wireless and much smaller, like a chunky pair of glasses rather than a full on headset.
VR never fully goes away as its used in many other industries for training and simulations so there's always advances being made behind the scenes.
VR is great way to play games because you are in the game.
Just think when heavy hitters add vr to their games.
I'm a 39yr old 6'1,265 pound man and VR made me jump a few times playing some of the game's (rush of blood&Brookhaven)
I hope it does well because it's a great way to play games ,watch movies and sports.
