I thought this was going F2P and had an uptick in interest since it did?

1nsomniac3506d ago

It has gone F2P & ive played it a handful of times. Seemed to be getting a lot of big updates over the last couple of months & I planned to go back to it once I had cleared my backlog (gaming backlog that is).

rezzah3504d ago

It died before it released.

After the whole DLC fiasco, many gamers avoided it.

NickAwesome3506d ago

So in round one of the new, online only console Utopia as envisioned by Microsoft's greatest living
spokesman, Adam Orth, we had Destiny, Titanfall, and Evolve as the heavily-promoted favorites.
So far only Destiny has managed to achieve some success, as it were. Better luck next round, guys.
Or hey, maybe create some single-player content and quit pretending that multiplayer only is the
future.

Mikefizzled3506d ago

Vince Zampella said Titanfall sold over 10m copies. Destiny earned $500m day one. How does this constitute as 'some' success?

Liqu1d3506d ago

He never said 10m sold, he just said "Celebrating 10 million!"

game4funz3505d ago

Those are not the only online only games..... Ummm. Do you even game.

Razrye23506d ago

Well it would have helped if they made it free to play on consoles

Redx1653506d ago

Time to go back to making Left 4 Dead games.

This game had a cool concept but got very repetitive over time.

game4funz3505d ago

The concept would worked better if it had an actual level design progression.... Like left 4 dead... And if the monster was controlled by the ai.....lile The bosses in left 4 dead

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio33d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing33d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9233d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit33d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing33d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9233d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
