Basically, yeah.

Sony will have the first 4K gaming console on the market. They will have 12 months of native 4K games, and checkerboard rendered 4K games that look 95% indistinguishable from native. The Pro will also downsample games to 1080p to give it the cleanest, supersampled IQ of any current gen console for an entire year (and more so than Scorpio ever will), on both standard games and PSVR games.

Not only this, but Pro will be capable of 8.4TF of computational power due to its use of half-precision 16-bit flops. This is not secret sauce from delusional fanboy minds or dishonest corporate executives, but the reality of Mark Cerny's genius and Sony's sway in the gaming industry. I KNEW these Xbox loyalists should not be getting strung up on promises from Microsoft, when Sony has Mark Cerny as the lead architect for their hardware.

So not only do they have the advantages on a hardware level for ANOTHER 12 months, but they will gain radically increased marketshare, and consumer mindshare on a product that ACTUALLY EXISTS, and isn't just a vague promise being used as a marketing tool. PS4 Pro will thus garner EVEN MORE support in that time from devs and consumers, and thus Scorpio will not get any substantial amount of special treatment from developers on a console with a much worse install base.

By Fall 2017, Scorpio will be another flounder for MS, as Sony markets Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Pro.

PS4 has more games, more exclusives, a wider diversity in its output. Same goes for Switch in view of its exclusives. Nintendo Switch will be day one for me too, because it's continuing the beautiful idea of cross-play portability, but on a single machine that you can take away with you on travels. The form factor also looks amazing.

Scorpio will continue the trend of no exclusives in a box that will probably be huge and expensive... and I'm out.

Switch wins for me with innovation and convenience (continuing idea of cross-play I love with PS4/Vita).

Scorpio has been proposed to have most powerful specs, by a company that continually lies to and misleads its consumers. PS4 Pro checkerboard rendering is 95% indistinguishable from Native 4K (confirmed), and half precision 16-bit flops means that the Pro has the GPU output capability of a 8.4TF machine if devs put in the work (confirmed). Due to its bespoke nature, it's unknown if Scorpio will have a similar GPU method to double its operational capacity, but we'll see. I told the gullible loyalists that a single Teraflop unit didn't tell the whole story, and I was right. Mark Cerny has thrown that genius curveball, and thrown it hard. While Microsoft has chosen to brute force its compute units, Sony has decided to innovate with the chosen cost-effective resources and come back with greater result by smarter GPU compute.

PS4 Pro will always have the most exclusives (permanent).

Yes lies. PS4 Pro plays games at both native 4K and and innovative form of checkerboard 4K, and both have been measured to be near indistinguishable from one another. So yeah, it is a 4K gaming machine and nothing you say can prove otherwise.

I'm not a delusional Xbox fanboy, so I don't need to believe in baseless "secret sauce" from no tangible sources - the technology Mark Cerny has been working with Sony and with AMD that are getting your panties in a twist, exist in this reality. I think that perhaps the Scorpio could do that in another manner if Microsoft engineers are smart enough to make it happen in ways that don't violate patenting law. I like how Pro and Switch were both officially revealed after Project Scorpio was, and yet both are coming to the hands of gamers much, much sooner. Sony and Nintendo know what's up. Microsoft is still figuring it out.

The CPU is overclocked and the GPU is 2.2 times as powerful on paper, whilst actually being about to deliver 8.4TF of computational power using half-precision 16-bit floating point operations (a developer specific requirement). I'm sorry that you think that this is "secret sauce", although it's in fact resourceful and innovative application from an engineering genius doing his job - a man that knows more about GPU compute than you ever will.
