Nintendo's Switch Has Potential, But Raises Some Serious Concerns

After an excruciatingly long wait, we finally know a bit more about what Nintendo’s new system, formerly known as the NX, is all about. It's a console-handheld hybrid full of bells and whistles, but potential hardware pitfalls could hamstring the Big N's chances of a comeback.

derkasan3510d ago

Yeah, I'm not feeling the hype either. Seems like a misstep.

dead_pixels3510d ago

It could be great, but third parties support is going to be the thing that makes or breaks the Switch. If Nintendo can deliver a capable machine that does everything the console promises while delivering the horsepower devs need to make compelling games, the system could be a great success.

However, if they drop the ball or the battery life sucks, games look dated, etc, it could leave the console as little more than a novelty with a whole lot of wasted promise.

I'm hoping for the former, but it is Nintendo we're talking about here. Hoping for the best and fearing for the worst.

darthv723510d ago

The switch is a nice evolution in the hybrid system genre. i am reminded of the PSP Go for allot of the same features. It could be played on the Go or docked to a TV and use a regular controller but obviously local multiplayer was not something the Go offered like the Switch does.

Honestly, I always thought Sony would be the one to continue down that path of convergence but Nintendo is more comfortable in the portable space to i guess it makes sense for them to build on the ability to do both in one device.

RpgSama3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

Like every Nintendo Console, if they get the support of third parties, then they will sell enough to make a dent in the market, if not, then it will sell a little bit more than the WiiU because of the Hybrid situation, the thing about the NX is that it doesn't have a "Gimmick" (hate that word) to entuse the casual market, if you are a not a gamer you will not care that you can take what you normally game on your tv on the go, BUT If you are a gamer it is a cool premise that will depend on how much you like nintendo games and if on top of that they have good support from other companies.

If they release an update on Xenoblade Chronicles X and announce a new Rpg from Monolith Soft on top of that, I would seriously consider buying one.

S2Killinit3510d ago

I don't buy Nintendo for 3rd party support, I use Playstation for my general gaming. but Nintendo also has a special place in my gaming. I want to play games like Zelda. I don't usually buy handhelds, so this might be a good choice to kill two birds with one stone.

DarXyde3510d ago

I think you misunderstand what Nintendo represents with their consoles. Horsepower is grand and all, but it's all about the experience. Yes, horsepower allows you to bring more to the table (e.g., PS4 and PSVR) but Nintendo is about a different experience at all times. Not everyone will own PSVR but everyone with Nintendo's new box will have the same options for a new experience.

I say let the other guys focus on power. As consoles, they're not that different. Their identities come from their exclusives. Nintendo on the other hand does very many exclusives with a unique platform. So power may be lacking, but the experience is very often worth the wait.

gedden73510d ago

Already has more 3rd party support than the Wii U. i think it will be fine.

starrman19853510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

They always handicap themselves whilst simultaneously developing quite innovative hardware. I love the idea (and tbh I don't know specs, so I might be jumping the gun) but I really hope the base unit has some extra horsepower or the handheld device is just super powerful.

With the upcoming release of the PS4 Pro and Scorpio, if this has a lower spec it may be disregarded by some developers. The silver lining however is that if it can at least have the power of, say, the Xbox One developers will still need to keep that in mind as both the PS4 and Xbox one still have to cater for the same games as their more powerful counterparts.

4Sh0w3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

It might be cool if the specs are decent, 3rd party support is strong ALL gen, not just a game or two at launchp, if so along with Nintendos library of games I'd like to play again then the console will have major potential.

The biggest negative for me is the mobile controller looks waaaay too small to really be useful....but hey I'm not much of handheld gamer anyway.

vergilxx33510d ago

doubt that , most people would ashamed to walk around with something this big and fat
and there is no market for NEW handheld device you know smartphones..

IamTylerDurden13510d ago

Pretty similar to Vita/PS4, it's the next evolution of that. You sacrifice console power, up costs, and ultimately fracture your DS user base in a sense. Ultra risky, especially with the popularity of mobile gaming. 3rd party support will be very non existent, but i like the concept in the same way i love the Vita/PS4 dynamic. However, i just don't see it contending for the top spot. In a couple years PS5 may be out and Switch will look decidedly weak.

rainslacker3510d ago

@Verg

Don't know if you noticed the more recent trend of phones being almost as big as tablets, and most people aren't that ashamed to pull out their tablets and look pretentious.

Beyond that, if people are embarrassed to play games on the go, then that's on them. Most people really don't care, and I've seen plenty of people playing 3DS or Vita or on their phones/tablets so I doubt it's going to be that much of an issue.

Omnislashver363510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

According to that trailer, 3rd parties are fine IMO. It's FIRST parties that didn't have the graphics I was looking for. Zelda looked like the Wii U version, Mario didn't look better than Wii U, same with Mario Kart and Splatoon.

On the otherhand, Skyrim Remastered was running on it. So I have no clue what's going on. Perhaps the Ninty games were 1080p and Skyrim was 720p? (Or it's easier to think Skyrim was not recorded on the console, as it's the odd one out)

Anyway, it does raise concerns to me. I expected a TON more graphically for most games shown. If graphics aren't markedly above Wii U, then they are 2 1/2 generations behind now.

morganfell3510d ago

"Already has more 3rd party support than the Wii U. i think it will be fine."

Not yet. Announced is one thing, games on the store shelf is a whole other matter. That is not cynicism speaking but rather history.

EA pledged WiiU support. A lot of companies did but at the end of the day the follow through was simply not there.

sk8ofmnd3510d ago

Thats just it, the know is stating the docking station only includes recharge and signal for the tv... No extra power what so ever. I doubt the tiny size of the handheld portion is powerful at all.

Kreisen3510d ago

Its basically WiiU 2.0. You get a tablet with shit hardware.

Neonridr3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

shit hardware that can run Skyrim Remaster HD?

maybe I should rephrase that. It's a handheld that can run Skyrim Remaster HD. This thing would make the Vita look like a Game Gear. What's not to like for the handheld market already? And if it has 3rd party support, what's not to like about the home console?

It runs the latest Unreal Engine and Unity, that's already a plus for devs. I don't need it to be as powerful as a PS4 Pro. Why? Because I am buying a PS4 Pro.

axesofevil3510d ago

Great, it can run an update of a game that's been out for five years. At the very least at least we're seeing third party support.

Concertoine3510d ago

But the difference is you cant take the Wii U on the go, and they know how to market this thing way better than the Wii U. There's little confusion as to what the Switch is as opposed to the Wii U.

ABizzel13510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

@Kreisen

I agree with you on the first part, this is a revised Wii U concept, except the focus is on the handheld first, and docking to your TV second. Which is exactly what Nintendo needs and what the Wii U should have been to begin with.

The second part is completely uncalled for. And I won't even entertain it.

@Neonridr

Skyrim isn't the best example, because it doesn't really take much to run those games, the recommended specs are always BS on PC configs. That being said don't even entertain the second part of his comment, it's not worth it.

IamTylerDurden13510d ago

Neonridr,

Pro is launching in a few weeks and it will run Skyrim HD Remaster at native 4K. Let's not overhype the technical prowess of Skyrim.

V0LT3510d ago

Please, list me the specs right now.. I'm waiting.

Gazondaily3510d ago

Still not shit hardware though. And it's working remotely....

Of course someone had to bring up the Pro....always on....fml

3510d ago
NohansenBoy3510d ago

Why are people assuming that's Skyrim Remaster?

miyamoto3510d ago

Why do they have to make it so datex and complicated?

SharnOfTheDEAD3510d ago

Running the Skyrim Remaster? What? like how Wii U could run Crysis 3?

ColonelRex3510d ago

Nah, this doesn't look like WiiU 2.0. It looks more like they are trying to grab the attention of their big DS and 3ds fanbase.

fathertime44643510d ago

@axesofevil
Seriously man what do you know? Only games the ps pro runs at 4k natively are 5-10 year old games...
Oh and indies. Personally a portable as powerful as the ps4 and x1, you'd have to be slower than a doped up 5th grader

miyamoto3510d ago

In principle..yes this is basically the same ole Wii U

coolip3510d ago

@Neonridr

was it Skyrim Remaster or just Skyrim?

besides, Skyrim isn't the most impressive of games.

@derkasan
Yep, have to agree with you. Don't find the console interesting at all.

Nintendo's Switch is a mix of two concepts, home console and portable console. Probably have a CPU and GPU from a smartphone, so basically, It won't be a great home console nor a great portable console.

Will Nintendo's Switch be able to run multiplatform games like COD, Battlefield, Red Dead 2, etc ?

I think Nintendo is going after Smartphone/tablets gamers, and not necessarily after Playstation/Xbox gamers. They are basically going after the Pokemon Go gamers... which might be a smart idea from a business stand point. Time will tell...

Concertoine3510d ago

The bigger question is, does it need to? They already have Japanese developers on their side, and the 3ds didnt need more than Nintendo and Japan to sell over 60 million.

Segata3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

Tegra X2. That's about a base XBO/PS4. Same leaker who showed the dev kit last night which was exactly what is shown today leaked the specs. 1080P Tegra X2 custom. 6GB Ram console mode 4GB portable. About 1.5 flops

ABizzel13510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

@lelo2play

The GPU is confirmed to be Tegra based, the question remains is if it's a customer Tegra X1 or P1/X2.

So yes it technically is a mobile GPU, that being said the Tegra brand has been one of the most powerful mobile GPUs consistently, and have been more powerful than the PS360 and Wii U for a while now. So performance wise, it is powerful enough to be a part of the current hardware cycle with the original PS4 / XBO, so if they wanted to then yes Battlefield, COD, and possibly Red Dead could run on it (more than likely 720p @ low settings, but low settings still look good on games today).

The PlayStation and Xbox gamers, already have their console of choice, so that's not the market Nintendo needs to target at all. They PS / Xbox gamers that pick up NX are those who always enjoyed Nintendo to begin with.

Nintendo is focusing on rebranding it's image first and foremost, and this is a step in the right direction and what the Wii U needed to be to begin with. This is a concept to rule JP, which I honestly think they're going to dominate in, and to get their fans all on one device which is perfect since their largest gaming market is on their handhelds, but the console gamer can be happy knowing they have access to that as well.

Their big challenge is not the NX itself. It's Nintendo.

They need western games and 3rd party support which is unproven still for generations, the handheld market is dying in the West in favor of mobile but this could re-spark that, Nintendo's OS and Online networks needs a huge modernized overhaul, and Nintendo need to focus all their efforts on this one device and launch with Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc...

@Concertoine

They do need the west. 3DS JP sales topped 20m, but that's not going to be enough. That being said I see NX selling better than 3DS in JP and possibly reaching 30m. The issue from there is the West. NX has good hype right now, but will it keep it up and will they have the diversity of software needed to win over the West, because the same Nintendo IP's (regardless of how consistently good / great they are) isn't going to bring in new growth.

IamTylerDurden13510d ago

If it can't run the latest AAAs like Red Dead 2 then it is sunk imo. It's then relegated to a a smart phone with a dock.

MaximusTKG3510d ago

@lelo

CPU and GPU from a smartphone/tablet? Please think about the things you say before you say them to see if they actually make any sense. You think a smartphone could even run mario kart? No. Yikes the internet these days has a collective IQ of 4.

lelo2play3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

@MaximusTKG

Nintendo's Switch uses Tegra tecnology. Take a look what Tegra means before showing off your ignorance...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
"Tegra is a system on a chip (SoC) series developed by Nvidia for mobile devices such as smartphones, personal digital assistants, and mobile Internet devices."

You were right about one thing. The internet these days does have a collective IQ of 4.

Ult iMate3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

@lelo2play
You do realize that X1 or PS4 or PC rig are that big and consume that much electrical power for a reason and not only for producing heat? They have hard drives and BluRays for a reason. Even all that gigabytes of RAM need power to consume.
But I do believe that modern nVidia portable CPU/GPU is capable to produce a PS3/X360-like picture when I look at PS Vita's Uncharted from the late 2011. But the better the graphics are the more it needs battery power.

pompombrum3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

Misstep? Imho this is their most logical step forward, merging their Wii and DS brands, unifying their development resources onto a single platform could potentially see it offering the best first party lineups out of all the consoles. As long as it's powerful and flexible enough for developers to port over PS4/X1 games while simultaneously offering good enough battery life that it's practical as a portable device, they'll be onto a winner.

lelo2play3510d ago

Yes, merging their Wii and DS brands in to one console makes sense. Nintendo has a great first party and putting them to work in one single console saves them money and time.

... but, are you expecting PS4/X1 multiplatform ports to a console that has a smartphone CPU/GPU ?

pompombrum3510d ago

Looking at all their announced partners for the format, I'd assume that it is capable of handling ports, albeit at what capacity remains to be seen.

rainslacker3510d ago

I agree on merging their systems. Nintendo has a lot of great software, but they seem to focus more on their handheld. While I like their handhelds, I still like that home console experience more, and I'd like to see them bring all their titles to make it so I don't have to go between them. I probably won't use the system for multi-plats much, but I might for certain games which I'd like to play on the go. Overall, Nintendo itself can produce enough 1st party software with a merged market to compete against the other two, and likely, it'll see some generous support from Japan. Just the idea of a Pokemon game on the home console could sway people to get the device, with no need to choose between handheld and stationary.

maybelovehate3510d ago

I am not away from my job or home enough to be part of the target audience and have no interest. I could see students eating it up though.

2600Thunder3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

And the negative hardware click bait drama war begins. Gotta get us all arguing in comments though, right? Let some games get announced and lets physically try the damn thing out before all the negativity starts. Jesus. We have no idea. I can't wait to try it and see for MYSELF like I did with the PS VR, instead of listening to negative assumptions of those who haven't even seen it.

Kids huddle over their 3DSs all the time, and now they've made a high end portable playable on a TV. They dominate the portable market and many people will probably buy it just for that reason. I have been wanting a new and real portable (not smartphone garbage) so this is more than likely the answer.

Bring traditional controls and up to date classic, creative, and FUN Nintendo 1st parties and that's it for me. Brilliant I think. Like I said, I can't wait to try it to see for MYSELF.

USMC_POLICE3510d ago

You can play skyrim on the go.... what more do you need?

subtenko3510d ago

Its not all about the console, its about nintendos direction. You can show a $200 next to the switch and it wont make it an automatic buy, Im trying to see what you gonna do with policies and games, not just the system. the ouya says hi

Limegreen3510d ago

Nintendo Switch does not look like a good portable system, it's not that portable or ergonomic. Also does not look like a good home console. If you understand the way technology works (hint: size, heat) then you know this will be as powerful as a tablet. Wow so disappointed.

Ashby_JC3510d ago

Looks like any other nintendo device...but just portable. With to many parts that can break or get lost.

Im not feeling it at all. Maybe im just old but I dont care about gaming on the go. So ,,,this system is not for me.

Jack of all trades master of none!!

CaptainObvious8783510d ago

Looks like I'll be skipping yet another nintendo console...

I'm just not the demographic nin is after it seems. I hope they can get some of the casuals, but I don't see them buying one when they already have a smart phone.

bleedsoe9mm3510d ago

i feel like some people will love it (people that have long commutes on mass transit) but its not for me , i'll pass i'm not into hand held gaming

XanderZane3509d ago

I won't call it a misstep yet until I hear the specs, launch titles and price. There's still a lot of info we don't know about it. I do like the concept of the console/handheld hybrid. Nintendo usually makes quality, long lasting systems. My original NES & SNES both still work and even the controllers work fine. So I won't dismiss the hardware, but we do need to seem more NEW games and NEW IP's for this system. What 3rd party games will be out at launch for it?

Thatguy-3103510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

Didn't work with the wii u, won't work here. We'll see though but I'm curious to see if they have stapled features that current consoles have.

Ilovetheps53510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

This is different from the wii u though. There is only one screen here. And this doesn't rely on the base unit to be playable.

ABizzel13510d ago

It's different in the fact that it focus on the handheld first and foremost, and allowing it to be docked to your TV. It's a similar concept, but it focus on Nintendo's largest market, and improves the hardware (another weak point of the Wii U).

Basically it's the Wii U, but much better, while fixing it's glaring issues.

That being said this is almost a 100% buy for me.

alstruck3510d ago

It does rely on a base unit... only this time the base unit is actually portable and has a screen. My thought was it's like wiiU, but they move the processing unit to the gamepad thus makes it truly portable.

Ilovetheps53510d ago

Alstruck, you definitely know what I mean. It doesn't have to tether to the hub plugged into your TV to play the games. Play semantics all you want, it doesn't change the fact that this console can go wherever you want without the "base". The wii u wouldn't go 15 feet without me losing signal. It has similarities to the wii u, but it is even better. And that is coming from one of the people who loved the wii u.

Kreisen3510d ago

A device the size of a smartphone being on par with current machines? Unless that thing costs $1000+ no chance in hell. Smartphones dont cost $500 "just becouse" buddy. There is a good reason you saw Skyrim or that new Zelda, thats all youll get, last gen equivalent titles probably running @ sub 720p too haha.

Neonridr3510d ago

how do we know it's not the remastered Skyrim?

Segata3510d ago

Tegra X2. That's about a base XBO/PS4. Same leaker who showed the dev kit last night which was exactly what is shown today leaked the specs. 1080P console mode. 720P Portable. Tegra X2 custom. 6GB Ram console mode 4GB portable. About 1.5 flops

IamTylerDurden13510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

It's true, there is a reason you see Skyrim on it. It's bc Skyrim is the most technically impressive and most popular 3rd party they could show. If it could run even Fallout 4 you would see that on it. If it could run Battlefield 1 they would certainly be touting it, but it can't. Impressive for a handheld, not for a console.

4gb of ram? Yet we expect it to run Red Dead 2?

stuna13510d ago

I kind of agree with you. Looking at it from what's been shown, it just doesn't look big enough in any aspect of the word to be having a powerful CPU/GPU. It almost looks as small as the original WII.

sk8ofmnd3510d ago

Agreed, its been confirmed the docking station does not come equipped with extra processing power.

SharnOfTheDEAD3509d ago (Edited 3509d ago )

SirBradders3510d ago

I think this will sell well to big families where kids will be able to split times with the TV. Same goes for families with consoles kept in the living rooms. Mum, Dad or brother says its my turn on TV, kid says no problem ill pop it out and keep playing.

I won't buy it because Nintendo is mainly caters for kids in my opinion but i can see where they are going with this.

IamTylerDurden13510d ago

It honestly should just be a handheld. Put the extra resources into a beast handheld or keep the specs, drop the dock, and lower the price.

rainslacker3510d ago

WiiU wasn't meant to be a handheld in any way. It was meant to bring that second screen gaming to the home console market, which they had had success on with the DS/3DS. It didn't work out there, because it was under utilized, and most people didn't really want it anyways, particularly when coupled with the weaker hardware.

This looks like decent enough hardware, which serves both the handheld and home console market, and I don't feel it's meant primarily to be focused on one market or the other. Since it serves both, it will help it sell, even though not everyone will use all the features it has to offer, but at least they're there for the flexibility.

Nintendo just has to nail the price vs. power and they could certainly have a hit on their hands. See plenty of console war devotees to other platforms who seem quite impressed with the initial reveal, and that's not easy to do.

pcz3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

i think it is literally the equilivant of a portable wiiu. the console aspect is unimpressive, but considering their last handheld was the new 3ds, the switch is a considerable upgrade

i know i have been critical of nintendo for years now, but when you consider the switch will now be their sole focus and sole medium, all their budget, attention and resources will be channelled into this thing. that means, there will finally be 'home' pokemon games, and devs will only have to produce for one system, as opposed to there being a fragmented library of games between nintendos home and handheld consoles.

i dont see how it can fail.

pcz3510d ago

i hope that big ass logo they put on the side of the console is just for the purpose of the video and wont actually be on the finished product. makes it look tacky. would be better if it was more discreet

The tablet allows Nintendo to focus on one piece of hardware instead of spreading themselves thin with creating different software for both home console along with handheld.The Switch may be on par with current machines out right now being as Nintendo would wanna keep retail cost down. I'm not going to get hype until more about the machine is talked about like the online network and other stuff.

https://blogs.nvidia.com/bl...
"The high-efficiency scalable processor"

why would Nvidia put "scalable" in the blog? Nvidia want to sell GTX 1070 with Nintendo Switch?

Princess_Pilfer3510d ago

Normal GPU/CPU chipsets can only underclock/undervolt so far before the simply cease functioning. What they're saying is they built their chipset specifically so that it can continue to function properly at a lower % of it's optimum power input.

The reason they'd do that is so that it can provide a higher quality experience on the TV when it's docked and has power to spare, but it can also enter a much lower power state when you're using it as a handheld in order to extend battery life.

never4get3509d ago

Nvidia works so hard to put their GPUs in so many devices like Cars, Mobiles, Consoles, external GPUs for laptops and Nintendo Switch would simply have a simple cpu+gpu? That's sounds weird.

They would be external Nvidia GPU for Nintendo Switch. GTX 1070/1080

Well that didn't take long for someone to make an article like this

rjason123510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

Yep it's been revealed for about an hour now, and people are already shitting on it, and spreading lies. But oh "PS4 pro and Scorpio are amazing" even though they'll be outdated before they hit the shelves.

Edit 1.

I didn't specifically say this article, I said "people".

Edit 2.
@iamtyler
Wow, someone is obviously butthurt. Not once did I say that switch wouldn't be outdated, you just seem to be upset that your precious pro will be outdated before it hits the market. Hell the Scorpio is gonna outdate it lol. Oh and glad you know how Skyrim is gonna run on the Switch, I'd love to hear you're other factless predictions.

axesofevil3510d ago

This article isn't shitting on it, it's raising concerns for people who invested on past Nintendo hardware and have been let down. It's not a terrible thing to be skeptical, the article doesn't refer to it as shitty, it just feels like more of the same for Nintendo. We'll see how it turns out but it makes perfect sense to wonder what's really in store for the system.

IamTylerDurden13510d ago

Outdated? Pro will run Skyrim Remaster at native 4K while Switch can barely run Skyrim. Switch is underpowered way before it even hits shelves. I like the portable idea, i love Vita, but in 3 weeks Pro will be a monster in the console space while Switch won't even be as powerful as a vanilla PS4. Don't get it twisted.

this is a sony fanboy website they will praise stuff like PSVR which is a 250 quid add on in the uk and to run it at full potential on ps4 pro with no actual games developed for it just demos and experiences and they praise the hell out of it. People are idiotic to think nintendo should go and make a hardcore console again like they did with gamecube. 3 of the same consoles on the market is not going to work especially now with how strong steam has gotten. Nobody is gonna buy a nintendo console for multiplatform games when they already have a playstation (i know i wouldn't).

dead_pixels3510d ago (Edited 3510d ago )

@oricon - A Sony Fanboy website? Seriously?

Looking back at our review archives these are the scores for the past 5 games we've covered on Nintendo hardware:

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls 4/5
Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure 4/5
Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 4/5
Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice 4.5/5
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse 5/5

Yes, we're absolutely, unapologetically biased against Nintendo.

Grow up.

I guess I don't understand. It's essentially a tablet, right? You can hook a tablet to your TV and use controllers on it.

And pack that shit around?

BG115793510d ago

Yes, but if it doesn't make any of the the 3 well correctly, it won't have any public.

Look at the handheld part. The Switch won't replace the 3DS because it looks big, fragile and what autonomy could it have?

The problem being I don't want two of those things and I don't want to pay premium to have them. I just want a console, that's it. I don't want to pay the tacked on hundred+ dollars for a screen I'll never use. Price is going to be the biggest problem with a screen, battery, and mobile chips involved.

Everything in the preview trailer is coming with the box. That always the case with Nintendo system preview. Unless it's revealed as a third party accessory.

Noone exept for core gamers playing multiplatform games like RDR2, Deus Ex or Witcher or any modern game. Good luck trying to fit those on a cartridge of a system with apparently no BluRay as a medium or a hard drive (battery life, duh) for a price of a PS4.

No one gets left behind because everyone is equally behind, because they tried to target 3 audiences in one.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle33d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted
