Danny writes - "In the space of two days Rockstar became the most tweeted about phenomenon since Donald Trump announced he was going to run for president (probably). Everybody is hailing the move to make Red Dead 2 as a masterstroke by the company, given the success and unbridled brilliance of the first game (yeeees I know about Red Dead Revolver, but I’m just counting Redemption here). All the hype and noise points to one revelatory discovery: it doesn’t matter how good your multiplayer might be, gamers still crave a good single player campaign!"
Red Dead Redemption 2 mod turns the game into Elden Ring, adding spells, boss fights, and Uncle as the final boss.

Take-Two announced its financial results for Q2 of fiscal year 2026, and shared an update on the sales of GTA5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
You think Rockstar views Red Dead 2 as a failure because it didn't sell 150m copies?
I must be one of the few who are fine with the GTA6 delay. People treat that game like it’s the 2nd coming lol.

Dan Houser opens up about Red Dead Redemption 2’s rocky development, calling it behind schedule, massively over budget, and full of pressure to prove doubters wrong.
The world they built is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, the game was mostly boring to me. I definitely had fun in some parts, but it didn't do it for me as a whole like the first one did. I loved RDR so much.
The budgets and time it takes to make games these days is out of control. Such a big risk. If a game isn't a huge hit, it is often it for a studio. Scary. I really miss the PS2 and PS3 days where studeios could make 4 games in a generation and take risks in making something new. And so many were using their own engines. Those were the days.
Why wouldn't we , not all of us want to always play some squad based game all the time .
Every now & then some of us like to play games by ourselves so to explore & complete them on our own .
Damn straight! Single player campaign is my main aspect for games. There's the odd mp game here and there like destiny and battlefront but give me a damn good campaign and you'll get my money!
Yep Single player OFFLINE games are still great, sick of these ONLINE only games coming out and multiplayer only games that have no single player or OFFLINE support. Game dies to quickly,
Star Wars Battlefront, great game, terrible for OFFLINE single player or split screen at launch, now with skirmish, totally better.
I will buy a game with Bot support before i buy an online only game anyday.
Why not? And wtf means "still"?
is this a dig at gears 4 ? because I thought gears 4 had a great campaign not spectacular but still very good
