Cnet reports: "The new PlayStation VR Aim Controller looks more like a balloon animal than a weapon of war. But as soon as I placed the PlayStation VR headset on my head, it morphed into a futuristic assault rifle so easy to aim, it almost felt like it could read my mind. In Farpoint, the initial PlayStation VR shooting game that will arrive alongside the Aim controller, I traversed a desolate, dusty alien landscape shooting space spiders. They lept through the air like Half-Life's infamous headcrabs in an attempt to eat my brains, or shot huge globes of noxious acid to melt my flesh and bones. But with the Aim, I could pick them off with precision before they even hit the ground.
Mind you, I've played some fantastic shooting games on the HTC Vive and with the upcoming Oculus Touch controllers, too. This was different. Nothing I've played for the Rift or Vive's two separate controllers has felt quite this intuitive."
A classic genre takes on new life in VR, so here's a rundown of the best VR platformer games available in 2026.
Can’t be a good list without astro bot and moss and moss book 2 they are the cream of the crop.
If his choices are as good as those 3 games then I gotta try the rest of his list
VR is a medium perfect for adventuring through new lands, so here's some of the best VR Adventure Games available in 2026.
Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.
I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

Skyworld: Kingdom Brawl, one of the best RTS card battlers in VR is shutting down this July, developer Vertigo Games has confirmed.
Great news, but we all know the thing about peripherals. I got this fancy PSmove gun peripheral when Killzone 3 came out http://gearmedia.ign.com/ge... and there wasn't any other game that used it. So my question is, will there be other VR shooters coming out that will use the peripheral if not it quickly becomes a lemon once the game is completed.
do we have an actual release date on this thing yet?
Pretty sweet. I'll consider getting it after seeing how many other games are going to support it. It's totally going to add to the immersion though so I do hope I get to use it :D
I think its so smart of them to take a minimalist approach with the design because it allows for maximum VR movement without restriction and without extra unnecessary weight, and allowing the controller to mimic any weapon you might be holding in the VR world without the controller in your hand disrupting the immersion by not "feeling" like your holding something other than what you are wholding in the VR world.
Damn that's for sure a run on sentence.
PS: does anyone else think this is the coolest thing they've seen in a long time? Or is it just me?
Damn, a better controller than the super expensive HTC & Oculus ones. Sony continues to claim their wizards status with PSVR and the Aim controller :D
