Best tech purchase I have made in years.

I actually am more happy with it than my PS4 purchase. It is comfortable, fun, well supported with SO many games coming, stable, scalable and even outputs to the tv so friends and family can watch while waiting to play.

All-around excellence. I am still extremely skeptical about VR becoming a great platform in general, but as the field stands Sony is so far ahead, it is bonkers. No clue how they pulled of the price, quality, game support and even did it on such a weak piece of hardware. (Compared to PC requirements for oculus and vive)

I actually think that the PSVR has convinced me to get the PS4 pro (Which I definitely had no intention of as it related to non-vr gaming) as long as it adds to the VR experience largely enough.

@Gottabjjimmyb
I agree completely. Although wouldnt your PSVR purchase only add on top of your satisfaction with purchasing PS4 since It is an addition to it? Haha, but no, I actually know what you mean, and I agree.

Also want the Pro

The wow factor has been far above what I've had out of a console in many, many years. It has its limitations, but when it shines, it really does blow you away at how immersive it is. You really do feel like you are in another world.

I agree. I was lost in Batman Arkham VR tonight and it was mind blowing. I was in awe with the VR Worlds demo and Thumper demo too. Thumper demo reminded me of the simple addiction style gameplay of Parappa The Rapper

Of any of the current VR, PSVR is BY FAR the best value proposition and frankly the one that I feel will have the games worth playing. Sony is not new to creating and finding games that define generations.

High confidence in the creator and the lowest market cost = no brainer. The sales show that seems to be a pretty unanimous decision.

And this is just based on launch software, first gen hardware (PS4 pro coming) and before Sony has even gone all in on the product. Can't wait to see where it goes, but I know they will be leading the way based on their launch.

I have a Vive and PSVR, I have to say I prefer the PSVR. PSVR is more comfortable, tracking is really good even with six year old move controllers, granted the vives tracking is slightly better but it has a more complicated set up and room requirements. To me the PSVR screen implementation is better, has no glare or halo effect like Vive and the screen door effect is a lot less noticeable if at all. PSVR has some really good games that for the most part look just as good as the Vive games (majority of VIVe games aren't pushing any graphics boundaries especially with the lens and screen tech they are using).

Vive is great but overall the PSVR is better to me.

I've heard quite a few Vive owners saying they prefer PSVR, No god rays, Screen door and the better comfort i think are the key points.

Good list but Thrill of the Fight 2 and Racket Club should be in this. TOFT 2 is one hell of a work out and even found myself watching boxing instructional videos in order to improve. Racket Club does an amazing job adapting tennis, badminton and pickleball into something that feels realistic but fits in with smaller VR spaces.

Both of these are great games!

TOFT has already featured in 131XR's 'best' series: https://youtu.be/jExm8PbCVq...
