Dan Hsu Needs to Hsut Up

DailyGame: Shoe, in spite of accepting plenty of promotional items in your own illustrious career, you still claim to be the last bastion of hope for game journalism. All that makes you is a hypocrite. A very nice hypocrite, to be sure -- we've met you several times and found you to be a very nice family man -- but a hypocrite nonetheless. Ethics are ethics, morals are morals and an honest review is an honest review, no matter what you happen to have done while evaluating the product.

Who gave PDzero a 10/10 and said it was the best game he ever played?

TOSgamer6456d ago

He's the one that gave Gears of War and Halo 3 both 10's.

InMyOpinion6456d ago

Giving PDZero a 10/10 is disgraceful, giving Halo 3 10/10 is questionable and giving Gears of War 10/10 is understandable =)

You go shut the f*** up! Why do you have such a disire to write this big ass article about how much you dislike Dan Hsu (who is one of gamings most respected journos)? Or is it because of that? You don't get enought attention? Then go write an article about Xbox306 vs. PS3 and get some hits...go be pathetic in another way ...and take your bribes with you!

Sophora6456d ago

he is full of jealousy and fail, let him just rant it out all over the internets.

dxmnecro6456d ago

Did either of you even read the article?

sack_boi6456d ago (Edited 6456d ago )

I get it; this site is becoming an anti-microsoft website.
I'm just a gamer, I own both cosoles (PS360) and don't give a fk about both companies (I'll never buy a Wii though). But all I've been reading lately in this site are all hateful comments about how Microsoft/XBOX360 sucks.

Anybody/website that says anything good about microsoft/Xbox 360 games becomes the "Enemy" and the same thing happens when people say bad stuff about Sony/PS3.

You can't even have a normal discussion without someone saying "insert microsoft-related here" flop/bluray/RROD... Where are all the gamers?? Why are they just PS3 fanboys on this site??
This website should be renamed NewsForPs3Fanboys!

How do people become so attached to a company (or a console) anyway? You guys need to go out a little, breath fresh air, have a life ( a real one with friends...) internet and gaming should just be a hobby, nothing more.

Coheno6456d ago

Yeah sorry, apparently I did not read the whole article, and that was the whole point off it the last sentence. Quit bashing start palying! Now thank you...that was actually a VERY good point...
I just usually can't read through so much bull for so long...!

**WARNING OPINION PIECE**

i've sat back and watch the flame wars rage on this site for over a year, some of it is entertaining some of it is enraging, and most of it is stupid. but to answer your question about how someone can get attached to a company is an easy answer. because, for me, Sony has given me nothing but great experiences for 15 years. while they are not perfect they've been great to me and earn my trust, its called brand loyalty you'd learn about in any 101 business class, it happens everyday from the brand of milk you constantly buy to categorizing something such as making photo copies as a Xerox. Xerox isn't the only company that has photo copiers but it was the first for many. I am not saying that Sony was the first video game console, but it was the first for many and it managed to give many gamers a new feeling about video games, that they weren't only for kids or casual. So my question is how do gamers become 360 fan boys? is it because of one game, Halo? because in the beginning that is all they had. And now they have expanded their game library but haven't expanded the way they treat the customer. Do you guys like playing russian roulette every time you turn on you console and play a game for more than 3 hours? /end rant

Death6456d ago (Edited 6456d ago )

Sony has never given me anything to deserve my loyalty. I've been a Playstation owner since launch 13ish years ago and have bought all their consoles. Unfortunately, I've bought them more than once. I had to replace my original Playstation 3 times (number 4 is new in the box), my PS2 DDE'd, the new replacement stopped loading discs before it finally went DDE, but my Slim has been awesome. My PS3 works good I guess, but doesn't always agree with me when I tell it it does have a Blu-Ray drive. Of all these consoles I have paid out of pocket for every replacement.

My original Xbox's have been fine since day one, but my launch 360 RROD's on me. Fortunately Microsoft extended the warranty and fixed it for free. I suppose if I had to pick, Microsoft would have earned my brand loyalty, but I still own all the consoles. I won't lie though, I prefer playing on the Xbox 360, but that is because I feel the experience is better due to the connectivity I have with my friends with the online experience.

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

The Callisto Protocol director thinks the solution involves the right people, the right timing, and perhaps a little bit of AI

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman27d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
