what? damn not only this game with the remaster is overprice, DLC that is overprice, and even the hard drive space will cost you as well!

showtimefolks3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

Ashunder

Please don't call mw a remaster it's more of a remake

Watch digital foundary video breaking everything down

But I do agree with you 130gb come on Activision

Kam

Yes but you should know that some publishers/developers actually remaster the game instead of just calling pc version the remaster

kamisama3387d ago

You do know Activision said it is a remastered version of the game which is literally called call of duty modern warfare remastered

jivah3387d ago

Good to know the redid all the models and textures

oof463387d ago

It IS a remaster. It's just one that's well done.

zeal0us3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

that most casual will still buy it.

pff I have played CoD with more kids(12-16) than any other demographics. CoD may attract some hardcore and professional gamers but majority of its consumers are casual gamers. They don't care if the game runs 900p or 1080p, too linear or too open.

DeadlyOreo3387d ago

It's not just popular for casuals though is it.

uth113387d ago

There's lots of people who buy cod every year and not much else. They have plenty of free disk space /s

iTechHeads3387d ago

Game is rated M. Kids can't even buy the game at retail.
The majority playing are adults. It just so happens that the kids you meet tend to be more memorable and annoying.

JackBNimble3387d ago

The most casual won't even realize it's 130 gb game

Nivekki3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

'The majority playing are adults.'

Lol.

EDIT:'Kids can't even buy the game at retail. '

Lol, you're hilarious. You should have your own show. No wonder you're in charge of your crappy website. Not only are you extremely biased but you're also extremely dim.

T2X3386d ago

True. I actually enjoy COD every time it comes out. But that's just me! I love FPS games any and all.

iTechHeads3387d ago

With what? It's basically two full-featured games.
Not enough space? Delete something. Problem solved.

R6ex3386d ago

Anyway, 130GB is nothing on a 10TB hard drive. My 4TB WD Black HDD is almost full with Steam games. Time to upgrade to 10TB.

NXSwitch3386d ago

They are thinking the same way as you kept supporting them so this is the outcome. You all don't learn when to stop & then these companies get away with what they are doing.

pompombrum3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

Isn't it about time that developers/console makers (not really sure whose responsibility it is) come up with a way to allow people to just download and delete specific elements of a game? 130gb for example, imagine a halo 5 fan with that stuck on a 500gb hdd, that's over half the space gone on just two/three games yet for many of us, we only play MP or SP etc, seems like a huge waste of space keeping say the COD campaign on your HDD when all you want to do is play MP. With the size of games increasing, it really wouldn't hurt to find a way to allow this option, would certainly save me a lot of space anyway.

Sciurus_vulgaris3387d ago

Yah, you should have the option to just install mp or singleplayer.

peewee110163387d ago

Ps4 you can. But the other part is downloaded after which i think is stupid.

Kitsunami3387d ago

If only there was some sort of...system for saving data in smaller amounts. Like some sort of...file compression?

Joking aside: Old games, even with all the cinematics and gameplay and everything were condensed down because we only had floppy disks to put them on. Developers HAD to make the code neat, tidy, and efficient.

Now they are lazy.

Raider693387d ago

This!Laziness and an old engine that keeps getting internal updates!

UnHoly_One3387d ago

Compression sounds good on paper but then it would have to "unzip" every time you wanted to play it.

So not only would you have to wait for that process, you would STILL need to have the open space anyway.

It would help because you're only playing one game at any given time, but most people wouldn't like it.

Concertoine3387d ago

Yeah, i dont need 20 different audio tracks. In fact when it comes to battlefield, i dont even want the single player.

Muzikguy3387d ago

Sad thing is if that were to become a common practice, there'd be other things to probably piss us off. Sometomes things don't seem to work out the best way possible. Especially with Activision involved

Profchaos3387d ago

I have halo 5 on my xb1 it's about 80gb all up

Deadpooled3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

hey broken matt, if only there was an option to DELETE DELETE DELETE! infinite warfare leaving modern warfare remaster

https://i.redd.it/eej95sp7z...

Hoffmann3387d ago

I just had another PREMONITION!

Around 90 of the 130 Gigabyte are OB-SO-LETE!

DE-LETE! DE-LETE! DE-LETE!

MrsNesbitt3386d ago

damn those references :P

iTechHeads3387d ago

An HDD is easily upgradable.
Any semi-hardcore gamer would have run out of space long ago.

"Takes too much space! Game suck!s"
Really people? Grow the hell up.

Hoffmann3387d ago

Have fun to use your money to upgrade the hdd because a couple of game companies think it is great to fill it with 130 GB games full of data you might never need...I guess?

Sorry I am running away now to grow up, that will help somehow.

Deadpooled3387d ago (Edited 3387d ago )

CoD fanboys, we knew you'd come!

Give it up TechHeads, the days of CoD dominance is gone. IT. IS. OVAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

DELETE! OBSOLETE! DELETE! OBSOLETE! DELETE! OBSOLETE!

MrsNesbitt3386d ago (Edited 3386d ago )

mate, f*** that upgrade mah pc

quent3387d ago (Edited 3386d ago )

This crap needs to stop, they've got no disregard for customer convenience whatsoever, they take these shortcuts because of pre planned day1 BS dlc and its more convenient for them to forcefully unload all that unnecessary data on to the customer then it is just to let people choose individual pieces of content server side.

SCREW THIS S#!T

Muzikguy3387d ago

Sure would be nice if more people would speak with their wallets. This kind of stuff screws the customer and is very lazy.

Kyoshi3387d ago

This is the way of Activision. They do not care about gaming. Gamers need to stand up against this horrendous bullshit.
