I wonder where they got that idea that it was okay to do something like that and still have a great VR experience at good frame rates?
It's great that they have come up with solutions to bring the requirements down for PC. But Sony was being blasted for offering an option that is similar even when they had other solutions that didn't do things like reprojection. You could do native 120fps/90fps and not 60fps with reprojection.
Anyway, glad they are trying to bring PC VR closer to mass market prices. It means more VR sales as a whole.
