I do the exact same thing for no man's sky haters. Their inability to support their blabbering is absolutely hilarious.

That's the fun in all of this for trolls.

They have to defend themselves. If they don't, they feel stupid for buying into the hype. Sci-fi fans hate nothing more than to feel stupid.

I do kind of wonder how a game that gets talked about daily, and criticized, and defended daily, with such fervor is somehow a distant memory.

However, I do agree, most times something bad comes along and pisses people off, or things fail to live up to expectations, it dies down within a week....tops...then the occasional yearly article about it, which only highlights how insignificant the outcry was, or list of bad things we've seen makes it's way to the press...and we reminisce about it because it is a distant memory, which we stopped caring about long ago.

I do enjoy the game. Most of my contention now is based on articles like this, and people's reaction to it not being like the aforementioned paragraph. But at times, I'm somewhat conflicted, because I also feel that I should be supporting those who have an outcry about it, because I do agree with at least the principals they're trying to rail against, and would actually like to see more people keep holding devs/pubs accountable for things like or similar to this which we don't approve of. I just find the way they do it here to be utterly distasteful on so many levels....and while I know people will come in and say how I'm the problem, I think their words are actually worse than the "lies" which Murray perpetuated upon the consumer. Hence, I don't like to associate myself with most of them, or appear I support their brand of moral righteousness. The unfortunate side effect is that it makes me appear to be some sort of defender, even though i have criticized what went down on some points with those who can remain reasonable, and appear to want actual meaningful change from it all.

You can enjoy something and realize and admit it's heavily flawed. The problem is people try to justify purchases by becoming apologists for the product, whether it be garbage games like No Mans Sky, movies like Batman V Superman, or Monster brand cables, so they act like the thing in question is infallible.
