So it launches with almost 30 games, and another 20 arrive before Christmas... Thats support.

Ps: your list is missing The Assembly (developer confirmed its releasing at launch)

OB1Biker3525d ago

Got the feeling quite a few are missing (DriveClub?)

thenerdiestcool3525d ago

My apologies. Updated accordingly.

freshslicepizza3523d ago

prices seem quite high for the content. $40 for Rez? $40 for Driveclub when you can get the full game for much less? this feels like a luxury tax.

thenerdiestcool3525d ago

More than 30 and thanks for the info. I saw it but forgot to update it.

S2Killinit3525d ago

No prob. The Assembly's release was just recently confirmed. I was just pointing it out.

Just a quick question, Cant seem to find EVE: Valkyrie anywhere to actully buy, it's not on Amazon UK or PSN, what gives?

Edit: found it on Amazon UK, but currently unavailable, bit odd since it releases in 9 days?

Never seen a gimmick have so much support before /s

excited to see how this turns out.

thenerdiestcool3524d ago

Come on. That's enough with the gimmick comments. VR is revolutionizing everything. It's here to stay.

Rimeskeem3524d ago

It was a joke about the people who call it a gimmick bruh

morganfell3523d ago (Edited 3523d ago )

Revolutionary? Possibly. Revolutionizing? No. Oculus didn't take off. Gear VR did not. Neither has HTC Vive or several other small competitors. None have caught fire. I have yet to see one article detailing how numerous gamers are selling their console to buy a PC and (Insert brand name) VR device for the PC. That isn't a knock against PC gaming which I love but a simple indication that it isn't blazing a sales trail.

PSVR is the last chance for years to come. If it does not become a sensation then all the others are doomed to be niche products as well. After trash talking PSVR, that idiot Luckey Palmer had better be on his knees praying PSVR becomes the new crack.

Perjoss3523d ago

Morgan is right, but VR isn't going anywhere, it might not take off within gaming this time around but its used in many other industries for purposes like training and simulations. So there will always be advances and people exploring new ways of using the tech. Even if psvr doesn't give it the boost it needs to fully take off, VR will be back in gaming another time when people feel the tech is ready again.

Loktai3523d ago

@Morgan

VERY true.. though one can argue the PC platform was holding it back only because most PC gamers aren't early adopters of new technology. .. for instance vibrating controllers are standard but never really did anything on PC, motion controls propelled the Wii to record sales for nintendo but that never took off on PC, using a console as a dvd or bluray player was very popular but even now most PC games ignore installing a blurry drive as nessesary. ...

Most PC gamers are already up against the screen and hunched over in a confined space which isn't a great situation for Vr...

I know part of this is wishful thinking but I feel even if it doesn't take off big time VR will do better on console, not only because of the lower cost of entry but the kind of experiences it seems to encourage being more in line with console players preferences than a hardcore PC /fps /western RPG player.

I acknowledge the exceptions, just stating generalizations which us what usually correlates to overall sales and success....

Here They Lie is $59.99 ?
Guess I'll be waiting till black friday for that one...

zombiewombie3523d ago

If I can get my hands on a headset next Thursday, I'm all in for eve and rigs

mogwaii3523d ago

Man it is so close the anticipation is palpable.

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2146d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
